Chapter 18 - Yay, Daddy's home!

Lucy's POV

The week flew by quickly, during the day we hung out at the guild while during the night I stayed at Big Brother Laxus' place with Freed, Bixlow and Evergreen. When we were at Big Brother Laxus' place, Freed would make amazing meals, Bixlow would play with me and Evergreen would dress me up in different outfits every day.

Whenever I wasn't playing with Bixlow, I would stay close to Big Brother Laxus. He was like a big strong teddy bear but don't tell him I said that. When we were at the guild, I noticed Big Brother Laxus staring at Aunty Mira every once in a while. So I ordered a strawberry milkshake or food as often as I could. I thought it was so cute to see Big Brother Laxus have a crush on Aunty Mira!

I was excited today, since today is the day that Daddy comes back! I walked into the guild holding Big Brother Laxus' hand with Freed, Bixlow and Evergreen following behind us. We were walking towards the Thunder Legion's table when I spotted Aunty Mira. I let go of Big Brother Laxus' hand and ran over her. "Aunty Mira!" I called out and she came out from behind the bar.

"Good morning Lucy" Aunty Mira greeted sweetly as she kneeled down to my level. "Are you excited that Daddy's coming home today?" she asked. "Yeah! I want to tell you something" I said, "what is it?" she asked. I put my mouth next to her ear and put my hand up like I was telling her a secret. "Big Brother Laxus likes you" I whispered and a light blush formed on Aunty Mira's cheek.

Suddenly Big Brother Laxus picked me up with a light blush on his cheeks. "Kids say the weirdest stuff" Big Brother Laxus said looking away from her. "Ah yeah" Aunty Mira replied, looking away from him as well. "I wanna see Big Brother Laxus kiss Aunty Mira" I said and both of them looked at me with shock. "We're going" Big Brother Laxus stated as he walked away with me. "Aw!" I pouted with disappointed.

Before we got to the table, "we're back!" we heard a voice shout from the front door. Standing at the guild doors was Daddy and Big Brother. "Daddy!" I exclaimed excitedly, squirming in Big Brother Laxus' arms and he quickly put me down. I ran from one side of the guild to the other and leapt into Daddy's arms.

He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me and lifted me up. I heard the guild awing behind me. "How was the job you two?" Aunty Mira asked, acting like what happened earlier never happened. "Flame Brain got restless a few times other than that it went well" Big Brother replied. "It wasn't just that! You were stripping every chance you...got...oh no" Daddy said.

Without warning, Daddy ran out of the guild at full speed with me in his arms. I was confused as to why he was running away like his life depended it. "Daddy why are you running?" I asked, "the red demon is going to get me!" he shouted, scared. I looked behind him and see Aunty Erza running towards us. "Do you mean Aunty Erza?" I asked as he ran, "yeah, is she behind me?! Wait don't tell me!" he said.

Eventually we lost Aunty Erza and Daddy stopped beside a lake, panting. He put me down and I saw a shadow with red gleaming eyes behind him. The shadow knocked Daddy out to reveal Aunty Erza. "What did I tell you about using that word around Lucy?!" she shouted but Daddy couldn't respond because he was unconscious.

I kneeled down and shook Daddy's shoulders in an attempt to wake him up. "Don't worry Lucy, he'll wake up soon" Aunty Erza said as she threw him over her shoulder. She held out the hand that wasn't holding Daddy to me and I held it as we walked back to the guild. I was surprised at how strong Aunty Erza was, she lifted Daddy like he was nothing.

As we were walking back, Aunty Erza stopped outside a bakery. We entered and the baker looked at Daddy weirdly. "Pick out a small cake Lucy" Aunty Erza said and I let go of her hand to look at the display. All the cakes looked so pretty, "these look pretty" I commented and the baker smiled. "50 of my usual" Aunty Erza ordered, "I'll have them delivered to your guild in two days" the baker replied like this happens all the time.

"Have you decided on a cake Lucy?" Aunty Erza asked. One of the cakes caught my eye the moment I saw it. It was a small circular shaped cake covered with strawberry icing and white simple floral designs decorated the sides. White edible flowers decorated the edge of the cake and at the very top of the cake was a whole strawberry. "I want that one please" I asked and Aunty Erza looked at the one I wanted. "That looks delicious, I'll get one too" Aunty Erza said and the baker put them in two separate mini boxes. We exited the shop and I carried my cake while Aunty Erza carried hers in her free hand.

When we entered the guild, Aunty Erza threw Daddy onto an empty seat. I put my cake onto the table and climbed onto the opposite seat. Aunty Erza sat next to me with her cake. Big Brother came over and sat on the other side of me. "What do you have there Lucy?" he asked. "Aunty Erza bought me a cake!" I said with a smile. "It looks good" he said as he eyed my cake. I glared at him, "don't touch my cake" I said. His eyes widened nervously as he held his hands up in surrender. "Erza 2.0 mini edition" he muttered as he shuffled away a bit.

I turned towards my cake and smiled like the glare never happened. Aunty Mira came over with a plate and a fork for mine and Aunty Erza's cake. I ate my cake happily and as I was half way through Daddy started to wake up. "What happened? Where did the cake come from" he asked as he looked around the guild. "Aunty Erza bought it for me" I replied, "don't try and take it man. She's Erza 2.0 mini edition" Big Brother warned. Daddy nodded in understanding and I finished my delicious cake.
