Daddy's Little Lucy

Chapter 27 - Twins' Location

Everyone in the guild surrounded the main table where the map of the twins' location laid. "Listen up brats! Lucy has been taken by the Earth Dragon Slayer twins and we will send a rescue team to retrieve her. Who wants to take on this retrieval mission?" Gramps asked. "I do and I'll burn them to ashes if they hurt Lucy" I immediately spoke up. Gramps nodded to me, "anyone else?" he asked as he looked around the room. "Me" multiple voices spoke up and Sting, Rogue, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Happy and Carla stepped forward.

"We have our team" Gramps stated and started explaining about the mission. By the end of the explanation, Erza asked "where did you get the map Master?" and I was curious about that too. "Blue Pegasus replied to my letter and found their location for us. Now, do you all understand everything I have explained?" Gramps asked. For some reason, everyone looked at me, "what?" I asked. "Do you understand Natsu?" Erza asked, "yeah yeah, don't barge in until we survey the area, don't let them know we are there by shouting, blah blah blah. Yeah I get it so lets go!" I said and ran out the door.

I immediately forgot something and ran back inside. "Which way are we going?" I asked and everyone groaned in frustration. Gramps gave Erza the map and the group walked up to me. "Nice going Flame Brain" Gray commented as he walked past me. "Shut up Ice Princess!" I shouted and followed the group to the location. Luckily for the dragon slayers, we got to walk there since it was the quickest way to the area where Blue Pegasus lives. The map said the twins live somewhere deep in the forests near the Blue Pegasus guild hall.

"One question..." I spoke up while we walked. "What is it Natsu?" Erza asked, "why are they coming with us?!" I complained while pointing at Sting and Rogue. "We want to save Lucy too. I'm going to save my little sis!" Sting said with determination. "She's not your real sister" Rogue said and Sting looked dejected. "Why did you have to remind me?" he muttered. Rogue sighed, "basically we've grown attached to her and we want to save her too" he said. I couldn't argue with that but I knew one thing was certain. Once Lucy is back to normal, I'm kicking those two out of the guild hall and Gray out of my house. He left his scent everywhere, ew. I don't want my house smelling like him.

We walked for hours through the forest until it was dark. Happy was peacefully sleeping on my head. "Lets set up camp here" Erza said and everyone but me started putting up tents. "We can't stop! We need to save Lucy now, who knows what they are doing to her the longer we wait" I said. "Natsu, we need to rest. How can we fight them at full force if we are all tired from walking and lack of sleep? I understand you're worried about Lucy and so are we but we need to save our energy" Erza said. I sighed knowing she was right and that I can't go against her because she will knock me out. Later that night everyone went to sleep fast because we were all exhausted.

The next morning, Wendy shook me awake "Natsu it's morning now" she said and I jumped out of bed, ready to fight those twins today. "Wake up Tomcat" Carla said which Happy jumped out of bed saying "aye sir!" with a salute. Carla just rolled her eyes and walked off. "Keep trying buddy" I said to him with a smile. After breakfast, we packed up our stuff and continued on our journey. 'Hang in there Lucy' I thought as we walked. Two hours later, we got to the location which was a wooden cabin in the middle of the forest.

We hid our stuff next to a tree nearby and quietly hid behind some other tree closer to the cabin. The cabin reeked of the twins' scent and I tried to listen for any noises. "Do you hear anything?" Erza whispered to me and the rest of the dragon slayers. "No, but we can smell them" Sting whispered. We crept closer to the cabin until we were at the door.

Erza pointed towards the door signalling that we were going to burst through the door. We nodded and I lit my fist up ready. Erza opened the door and we burst through the door into an empty cabin. We looked around but there was no sign of the twins so I extinguished my fist. "Did they know we were coming?" Gray asked as we walked around the cabin for any clues.

I walked through the living room and I heard a very faint scream. "Did anyone hear that?" I asked and everyone looked at me confused. "We didn't hear anything" Gray said but I could still hear the scream. "You can't hear it?" I asked and Sting walked over to where I stood. "He's not going crazy. I can hear it now" he said. The others came over but only Wendy and Rogue said that they could hear it too.

"Where is it coming from?" Happy asked me, "I think it's coming from the floor" I replied and kneeled down on the floor, on the rug we were standing on. I put my ear down to the floor and I could hear the screaming better. Now that I can hear it better, I recognized the scream, it was Lucy! "The scream is coming from down here and it sounds like Lucy" I said urgently as I looked up at everyone. Everyone got off the rug and pulled it way, revealing a trap door.

Without a second thought, I opened the door which revealed a stone staircase going down. Lucy's scream was louder now that the door and rug weren't muffling the sound. Her blood-curdling scream and cries could be heard throughout the entire cabin. Knowing that Lucy was getting hurt, I felt rage burn through my body. I'm going to kill them for hurting my Lucy!
