Daddy's Little Lucy

Chapter 28 - Lucy!

Rage burned through my body as I heard Lucy's blood-curdling screams. "Lucy!" I shouted as I bolted down the stone stairs inside the trap door. The stairs spiralled downwards and I could hear everyone following behind me. As I reached the bottom, I found a large wooden door. The door was ajar and Lucy's scream was so loud that she sounded like she was screaming her lungs out.

I burst through the door into a huge room and what I saw was painful to see. The twins were standing next to a giant gun machine. Attached to the gun was a large lacrima, filled with golden magic energy. The gun was aimed at my Lucy, who was bound by chains on a stone table. Her magic was getting sucked painfully out of her by the gun. I knew how painful it was getting my magic energy sucked out from my adventure in Edolas.

Kazuma noticed my presence and turned off the machine. Once the suction stopped, Lucy stopped screaming but continued to cry. "D-Daddy..." she cried weakly which broke my heart. "What are you doing to Lucy?!" I demanded and I heard everyone stopping behind me. I could hear their growls as they noticed that state Lucy was in.

Kazuma and Ryuki moved away from the machine and stood between us and Lucy. "The cat's out of the bag huh?" Ryuki commented. "Tell me, what are you doing to Lucy?!" I demanded again. "We're not telling you" Kazuma said and suddenly Ryuki dropped into a shadow underneath him which we knew was Rogue's doing. I took the opportunity to charge at Kazuma. I tried to punch him with my Fire Dragon Iron Fist but he blocked it with his arm. He quickly jumped back to gain some distance.

As soon as he moved back, Gray and Erza stepped in to fight him. "Natsu! Go to Lucy!" Erza said as she fought. I knew they could handle him so I ran towards where Lucy was. I noticed Sting was helping Rogue fight Ryuki. When I reached the stone table, Wendy, Happy and Carla were trying to get an unconscious Lucy out of her restraints. "Move" I said and once they were out of the way, I broke the chains. I quickly lifted Lucy off the table and into my arms.

I sat on the floor cross-legged, sitting Lucy on my lap while holding her weak body in my arms. Her skin looked pale and she had dark circles under her eyes. I would think she was dead if I didn't see her breathing. It was like the life was sucked out of her. Wendy quickly kneeled in front of me and hovered her hands over Lucy, using her healing magic.

Lucy's face relaxed as Wendy's magic touched her. Thanks to Wendy's magic, colour returned to Lucy's face and the dark circles were fading away. While Wendy heals Lucy, I check how Gray and Erza were doing in their fight. I was surprised that Kazuma is keeping up with Erza, the strongest female in Fairy Tail, as well as Gray. I glanced at Sting and Rogue's fight and I could see they were having a bit of trouble with Ryuki.

"Wendy!" I heard Carla and Happy exclaim and turned my attention to Wendy. She had her hand on the ground, supporting her body, and a hand holding her head. "I'm alright, I just got a bit dizzy, it took a lot of magic energy to heal her. She was extremely low on magic energy and physically weak" Wendy said. I became worried about what they did to Lucy. Wendy has grown so much since we first met her and now it isn't common for her to overexert herself. They must've taken a lot out of Lucy if Wendy got dizzy after healing her.

"D-Daddy?" I heard Lucy said and looked down at her. Her eyes were half open and looking up at me. "Hey Lucy, your safe now. I'm here" I cooed as I brushed a piece of hair out of her face and gave her a kiss on her forehead. She gave me a weak smile and fell asleep. "She'll be fine Natsu" Happy said as he walked up to us and put a paw gently on Lucy's arm. I nodded and handed Lucy to Wendy. "Take care of her" I said and stood up. I was going to give these twins a piece of my mind for hurting Lucy.

I charged back into the fight with Kazuma and I landed a flaming punch to his face. He flew back but he landed on his feet. "That stung" he smirked as he touched his cheek that I punched. "Natsu, how's Lucy?" Gray asked, "she's fine now thanks to Wendy" I replied without taking my eyes off Kazuma. "Go help Sting and Rogue. This one's mine" I added as I lit my fists.

"You can't take on him by yourself" Gray complained. "I can! He's the one who turned Lucy into a child and planned this whole thing!" I argued. "We'll leave him to you Natsu" Erza said and dragged Gray away. "I'm all fired up!" I said as I faced Kazuma and charged at him. We exchange some quick punches and kicks. "Why do you want Lucy?!" I demanded as I aimed a flaming fist at his head. He quickly dodged, "what would you do if you had a chance to see your dragon again?!" he shouted as he landed a kick to my side.

I flew into the wall and bounced off the wall, landing a punch on his stomach. He flew across the room into the opposite wall. "I would take that chance!" I shouted, "even if it means having to hurt someone to get it?" he asked as he stood back up. "No, I wouldn't! I rather never see Igneel again than hurting someone to get a chance of seeing him again!" I shouted with confidence. "I won't let anyone stand in my way of see Ryuki's and my dragon again!" he shouted and we charged at each other.
