Daddy's Little Lucy

Chapter 30 - Reason

I was in the guild's bathroom, washing my face with a wet towel, when I heard from a cry from the infirmary. "Waaaaaah! Daddy! Daddy!" I heard Lucy cry. Without a second thought, I ran to the infirmary. She was sitting up on the infirmary bed with tears running down her cheeks. I quickly picked her up and hugged her in my arms. "What's the matter Lucy?" I cooed as I stroked her back.

Her crying died down a bit, "w-when I woke up, I looked for you Daddy but I couldn't find you" she sobbed. "Well, I'm here now. I was away because I had to wash off the drawings that Gray and Sting drew on my face" I said. She giggled a bit, probably imagining what they drew on my face.

We were cuddling each other when Gramps walked through the door. He looked very serious, "what's up Gramps?" I asked. "It's good to see you awake Lucy. Natsu, Kazuma wants to talk to you, alone" he said. I growled when I heard his name. "Why does he want to talk to me?" I asked, not happy. "He told me that he will explain his reason but only to you" he replied.

I really wanted to decline his request because of how angry I was at him for hurting Lucy. "He said if you hear him out...He will also tell you the way to turn Lucy back to normal" Gramps said. I felt something click inside me when I heard him say that Kazuma will tell me a way to turn Lucy back. "What does that mean Daddy? Is there something wrong with me?" Lucy asked with tears threatening to fall. "No there's nothing wrong with you" I said and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Her frown went upside down instantly.

I looked down at Gramps, "I will talk to him" I said and Gramps nodded in understanding. He walked towards the door but stopped at the doorway. "Oh and Natsu, everyone is waiting to see Lucy" he said before leaving. I looked down at Lucy in my arms, "ready to go see everyone?" I asked and surprisingly she shook her head. "No, five more minutes with Daddy" she said as she rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled, "sure, five more minutes" I said as I lightly swayed with her in my arms.

Once five minutes were up, I carried Lucy into the guild hall and everyone's attention turned to us. "Lucy!" they cheered and crowded around us. Everyone was asking Lucy if she was feeling alright. "She's fine, everyone. Right Lucy?" I said and Lucy nodded. The crowd disperse when everyone was satisfied that she was ok.

"Lucy, I need to go for a little bit. Who do you want to take care of you while I'm gone?" I asked. "Big Brother" she replied, so I walked over to Gray. "Lucy wants to play with you while I talk to Kazuma" I told him as I handed Lucy. "Alright" he replied, "be back soon Lucy" I said and went to the guild's cells.

When I found the twins, they were in separate cells with their hands cuffed behind them. I stood in front of Kazuma's cell and crossed my arms. "Speak" I said as I glared at him. Kazuma sighed, "there's no use in hiding it, now that we are captured. I was surprised you found us so easily, I'm guessing Blue Pegasus told you. Anyway, I'm sure you know about the Eclipse Gate and how it's a gateway for people to travel through time-" "get to the point" I interrupted.

"I was getting to it. I found out that there is another way to travel through time. Celestial magic can be used to make a portal through time but a lot of it is needed. We heard about Fairy Tail's Lucy Heartfilia who has ten golden zodiac keys so we knew she would be perfect. We were going to give her back to you alive after we were finished taking her magic. She would've gotten her magic back eventually. I didn't plan on changing her into a child but I thought it would be easier to kidnap her later but I didn't expect the magic to be slowed down because of it" Kazuma explained.

I growled, "why did you need to go through time?" I asked. "We wanted to go back to July 7th x777 so we could find out what happened to our dragon" he replied. I grabbed the bars and growled. "You hurt Lucy and dragged her into this. Fairy Tail has taught me to move forward and not be stuck in the past. Your dragon is out there somewhere so don't hurt other people for your desire to find him. Now, tell me how to change Lucy back" I said. I saw both twins put their head down in shame.

"I could reverse the spell but I know you won't trust me to do so. There's a book called 'Magic Transformations' and the spell I used is the child transformation. Inside that book, you'll be able to find the reversal spell" he said. I was about to run out of the cells when Kazuma shouted "wait!"

I stopped in my tracks and came back to his cell. "There's one more thing you should know about the spell. When a person is hit with the spell, they would refer to the person they love as their Mother or Father" he said. I thought about what he said and then like lightning, it hit me. "Lucy loves me?!" I exclaimed happily before running out of the cells and into the guild hall. Looking around quickly, I found Levy sitting, reading a book next to Jet and Droy. I quickly ran up to her and told her the book Kazuma told me.

"I'll go search for that book right now!" she said excitedly and ran out of the guild hall. "Daddy!" I heard Lucy call out happily and I saw her running up to her. I smiled as I picked her up. "Is everything ok Daddy?" she asked, "yes, everything's fine" I replied. "Play with me! Play with me!" she cheered as she bounced in my arms. I chuckled, "what game do you want to play?" I asked. "Tag!" she said happily and I lowered her down to the floor.

"I'll count to five and then I chase after you" I said and she happily nodded. "Ready set go" I said and she ran away from me. I counted to five and chased after her, obviously not at full speed. She laughed as I chased her around the guild hall and squealed when I caught her, kissing her cheek. I was going to miss little Lucy but I was excited to see my Lucy back to normal.
