As we wondered through the festival, I spotted a mask stall and there was a red dragon mask that caught my eye. "Cool!" I said, running over to the stall with Lucy. I pulled the dragon mask off the rack and tried it on. "Roar! How do I look Lucy?" I asked, "awesome Daddy!" Lucy replied. I moved the mask to the side of my head and gave Lucy my signature smile.

"Do you want a mask Lucy?" I asked as Gray, Sting and Rogue joined us. She looked around at the rack and pointed to a Happy mask. "Looks like Kitty!" Lucy said happily and I chuckled 'she called Happy a kitty' I thought. I took the Happy mask off the rack and put it sideways on her head. "Cute" I mumbled accidently with a light blush on my cheeks. She looked so cute with the Happy mask on. "How do I look Daddy?" Lucy asked, "you look great Lucy" I said happily, trying to get rid of my blush.

"Are you sick Daddy? Your face is red" Lucy asked. She put her hand on my forehead, checking my temperature. I blushed a deeper red, she was being so cute. "Yeah Flame Breath, you look a bit red there" Gray mocked. My blush turned into anger "shut up Ice Popsicle! I never get sick" I argued. I paid the stall owner for the two masks and then we decided to go to Magnolia Southgate Park to get the best view of the fireworks.

It wasn't long till we saw explosions of colour light up the night sky. "Oooo" Lucy said as her face light up at the sight. She reached her hand out to the fireworks as if she could touch them. There were fireworks shaped like hearts and stars, even fireworks shaped like Happy and Plue. The fireworks lasted for ten minutes before the final light explosion faded into the night.

"That was great, wasn't it Lucy?" I asked with a big grin. "Yeah!" Lucy said happily and wrapped her arms around my neck tightly in a big hug. I gladly hugged her back and I could see Gray, Sting and Rogue smirking at me. "What are you smirking at?!" I shouted them, "you'll understand when you're older" Gray retorted as they all turned walking away towards Lucy's apartment. "What is that supposed to mean?!" I shouted as I hurried after them.

We soon arrived at Lucy's apartment and realise Lucy fell asleep in my arms. I entered through my special entrance, the window, careful not to wake Lucy. Gray entered the apartment through the chimney, Sting entered from the bathroom window and joined us in the living room. Rogue was the only person to actually use the door, "do you always break into Lucy's apartment like this?" he asked. "Yep" Gray and I said without hesitation. Rogue then turned to Sting "I'm disappointed with you" he said simply. "Why?!" Sting exclaimed, "shhhh Lucy's asleep" Rogue replied. "Answer me!" Sting whispered urgently, "sorry can't hear you" Rogue retorted. "Answer me!" Sting shouted loudly making Lucy stir a little in my arms.

I glared at Sting and he realised his mistake. "Rogue made me" he defended himself, "don't blame me for your stupidity" Rogue retorted which made Sting glare at him. I laid Lucy on her bed while Gray was holding Sting back from killing Rogue. Tucking her in, I placed her dragon and bear plushies beside her and she snuggled both of them unconsciously.

I laid down beside her on the bed, closest to the window, watching Sting struggling against Gray. "Just let me kill him" Sting muttered while Rogue was relaxing on one of the couches on the other side of the room. Eventually Sting tired out and Gray released him. Gray collapsed on the other couch while Sting walked over to the bed where Lucy and I were. "Move over" he said, "no way" I replied. "I need somewhere to sleep and this is the only place left" Sting explained. "Sleep on the floor" I replied, "no way, there's plenty of room. Move over" Sting complain as he shuffled Lucy and me over.

Before I could complain, he fell asleep. I groaned and glared at him then I kicked him off the bed. He fell to the ground but weirdly he was still asleep. I shrugged my shoulders, 'at least he's off the bed' I thought. Looking around the room, I noticed I was the only one still awake. Lucy snuggled closer to my chest and I thought about everything that's happened. I missed the older Lucy and I missed all the adventures we had together. I want to get Lucy back to normal as soon as possible. With that thought, I fell asleep with an arm protectively over Lucy.

The bright morning sun woke me up from my slumber and I could hear noises coming from outside. I groggily raised myself up and looked out the window. My eyes widened as I saw huge sandstones scattered all over the street and in the river. I leapt off the bed, over Lucy and accidently stepped on Sting. "Ow!" Sting exclaimed, waking up everyone else in the room. "Daddy, what was that noise?" Lucy asked, rubbing her tired eyes. Before I could answer, "get...off...of...me!" Sting groaned from under my feet.

"Whoops" I said, stepping off Sting. "Daddy, where did all these stones come from?" Lucy asked as she looked out the window. "Stones?" Gray asked before looking out the window behind Lucy. "We have to get to the guild" he said and ran out the door. I quickly picked Lucy up and we followed Gray out the door with Sting and Rogue.

As we ran to the guild, we noticed the whole of Magnolia was infested with huge sandstones. When we arrived at the guild, we found everyone in a guild meeting. "Master is at a guild conference and he left me in charge. We need to destroy these stones. Some of the stones are enchanted while others are normal. Team Shadow Gear and the Thunder Legion will handle the enchanted stones while the rest of us will handle the normal stones. Understand?" Erza said on stage. "Aye!" everyone cheered and ran outside to get rid of the infestation of stones.

The only person left in the guild other than Gray, Sting, Rogue and I was Mira. "Mira, can you take care of Lucy while we help everyone else?" I asked. "Sure" she replied and I handed Lucy to her before running out of the guild with Gray, Sting and Rogue.
