Daddy's Little Lucy

Christmas Special

It's Christmas Eve and we still haven't been able to change Lucy back to her older self. The guild had a massive Christmas party in the guild hall and let me tell you Fairy Tail know how to par-ty! Sting and Rogue left to celebrate Christmas with Sabertooth but they promise to come back tomorrow afternoon for Lucy. Later that night, Erza, Levy, Gajeel, Lily, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Carla, Happy, Lucy and I went back to Lucy's apartment for our afterparty.

While everyone was chatting with each other Lucy was running around the room like crazy. "Santa's going to come tonight! Santa's going to come tonight!" Lucy cheered over and over "Ok, who gave Lucy sugar?" Gray asked to no one in particular and I looked away instantly. I felt Gray's glare directed towards me and I heard him sigh, "I can't believe you" he muttered. "How do you get Lucy so sugared up?" he asked. "I may have let Lucy eat one too many Christmas sugar cookies" I muttered, "how many?" Gray asked. "Ten" I muttered, "great parenting Flame Brain" he said sarcastically.

"Like you could do any better! You strip every chance you get and put some damn clothes on!" I argued. "Not again! Also, I could make a better parent than you any day!" he argued back while putting his pants back on. Out of nowhere Juvia jumped up and hugged Gray. "Waaaaaah my beloved Gray why won't you pay attention to Juvia!" Juvia cried. "Guys we have a problem!" Gajeel said. We looked and all the girls except Lucy got drunk while we were arguing. "Not again!" Gray and I exclaimed.

Now we have to deal with the drunk girls again and a sugar crazy Lucy. "Why the hell does this always happen?!" I complained, "we should've taken the alcohol away before" Gray muttered. Levy was laughing at everything while tugging on Gajeel's hair, Wendy was laying on the table acting like a fish out of water, Carla was treating Happy like her own personal donkey, Erza was challenging Lily to an arm wrestle and Juvia was clinging to Gray while crying over weird things. Lucy, however, was running laps around me shouting "Santa! Santa!" which made me regret giving her those cookies.

I had an idea on how to get out of this mess. "Oh look, we are all out of alcohol! I'll go buy some more with Lucy" I said, picking up the speedy kid and walked out of the apartment. "You traitor! Take us with you!" I heard the guys cry out. "Sorry Happy" I muttered, sad that I had to leave my little buddy behind. Someone needs to keep the girls distracted while I made my escape. Although at least Lucy wasn't drunk this time, if she was I wouldn't have been able to escape.

I walked to my house with Lucy in my arms. The sugar was slowly disappearing from her system as she calmly played with my hair. The cold air began to make Lucy shiver a bit so I decided to share my scarf with her. The scarf loosely wrapped around both our necks and she stopped shivering. "Daddy's warm" she mumbled as she cuddled closer to my chest.

All of a sudden, it started snowing. Lucy's eyes widen at the sight of white snow. "Wow!" she exclaimed, holding her hand out to catch one. A snowflake landed on her hand, "look Daddy!" she said excitedly. "That's awesome Lucy" I said with a big smile and then a snowflake landed on her nose. She went cross-eyed and I laughed. Lucy began to laugh with me as we continued to my house.

By the time I entered my house Lucy had fallen asleep in my arms. 'Seems like she had a sugar crash' I thought with a smile on my face. I decided to head straight to bed and laid down on my hammock with Lucy sleeping on my chest. As I watched Lucy's sleeping face, I thought of the gift I wanted to give the older Lucy. Before Lucy became a child, I pushed my team to do jobs with the highest rewards so I could save up for Lucy's gift.

I bought Lucy a necklace with a pink jewel pendant, inside was a star within a flame design. I'm sad that I can't give it to her at the moment as she is now. Even though I've had fun being around little Lucy, I miss the older Lucy. I hope to change her back soon so I can tell her my feelings as I give her the gift. Sigh, but for now I should go to sleep.

I woke up to Lucy shaking me like crazy. "Daddy! Daddy! It's Christmas!" she said with excitement. "Yes it is, Merry Christmas Lucy" I said with my signature smile. She returned a smile, "Merry Christmas Daddy!" she replied. As we got out of my hammock, Lucy ran to the couch and looked out the window. "Look snow!" she said happily, "come on, lets enjoy it!" I replied with joy as I took her outside.

As we went outside, I fell backwards into the snow and started making a snow angel. Lucy copied my actions and made her own little snow angel beside me. We stood up and looked at our snow angels. Suddenly a snowball was thrown at the back of my head. I turned around to see the culprit Lucy laughing and began making another snowball. "Oh? A snowball fight? Then I accept your challenge" I said, making my own snowball.

We threw snowballs at each other, laughing the whole time. In the end, it ended in a tie. We then began to make a snowman. Its face reminded me of Plue. In the distance I noticed some people walking over to us. As they got closer, I noticed it was Gray and Gajeel walking over with a 'I will kill you' look directed at me. "Time to go Lucy!" I said as I picked her up and ran. I took her to her apartment where the girls were thankfully back to normal.

"Merry Christmas Natsu and Lucy!" they cheered as we entered through the window. "Merry Christmas everyone!" Lucy replied. Suddenly an upset Happy was in my face "how could you Natsu?! You left me!" Happy complained. "Sorry little buddy and Merry Christmas" I said, "I can't stay mad at you because it's Christmas so Merry Christmas" he replied, giving me a smile.

"Look Santa came last night Lucy" I said as I put her down and she looked extremely happy. She ran to the Christmas tree and grabbed one of the presents. "Can I open them now?" she asked, "of course!" I replied happily. As Lucy opened one from Santa, Gray and Gajeel burst into the room. "NATSU!" they shouted, "NO FIGHTING ON CHRISTMAS!" Erza said threatening with a deadly aura. They instantly hugged each other in fear of Erza's wrath. "Merry Christmas Big Brother and Uncle Gajeel!" Lucy said to them. Their murderous streak seemed to disappear. "Merry Christmas Lucy" they replied with a smile.

Lucy continued to open her gift and it revealed to be a pink toy train. "Wow cool!" she said happily. "Open my gift next Lucy!" Erza said excitedly. Erza's gift revealed to be a box full of clothes. I could easily guess that Erza wanted to dress Lucy up. "Thank you Aunty Erza!" Lucy said happily. Next was Levy, Gajeel and Lily, they gave Lucy some books which she loved. "Thank you Aunty Levy, Uncle Gajeel and Lily!" Lucy said happily, excited to read her new books. Next was Wendy and Carla, they gave her a storybook about princesses. "Thank you Aunty Wendy and Carla!" Lucy said, happy to get another book. Next was Happy's gift, he gave her a fish that was wrapped in a red ribbon. "Thank you Kitty!" Lucy said.

Lastly was Gray's and my gift for Lucy. Gray gave Lucy a small blue box wrapped with an icy blue bow. Lucy lifted the lid of the box to reveal a star-shaped beaded bracelet with a book charm. "Wow it's pretty! Thank you Big Brother!" Lucy said happily. Gray gave me a smug look, 'just you wait my gift will be even better than yours' I thought glaring. I stepped forward and handed Lucy my gift. Saving the best till last.

She opened the red box to see a pendant necklace. It had a golden key pendant and beside it was a flame pendant with a keyhole in the middle. "Wow, it's so pretty! Thank you so much, Daddy! I love it!" Lucy said and leapt into my arms in a hug. I gave Gray a smug look and he looked away disappointed. 'Haha I win' I thought happily. I clipped the necklace on Lucy and she held it close to her heart. Afterwards, the rest of us exchanged gifts with each other and played some Christmas games. "How about we play the Guild Master game?" Erza asked and we all instantly yelled "NO!". Especially after what happened last time. Luckily, Erza agreed not to play it thanks to our outburst.

"This is the best Christmas ever!" Lucy said joyfully.
