No, it can't be....
She stared, shocked. Her mouth dangled open as emotion from her eyes rolled down the hills of her cheeks. She wasn't aware of the tears, she wasn't aware of Katsuki yelling incoherent curses and Kirishima asking if she was okay. She was aware of the man who announced his presences.
"Ayatu.." She whispers, getting a point that she didn't even mean to make across to Kirishima. It was enough for him to understand her fear. He himself couldn't comprehend it well, so he can't imagine what's running through her brain right now.
He wondered if the familiarity of the quirk triggered it, and maybe that it wasn't him. He almost finds it to be impossible; they haven't heard from him or found any trace of his life for years. He didn't voice his doubts, he would never.
He didn't press. He didn't ask if she was sure, or try to tell her she's wrong and that he isn't here. He chose to cradle her in his arms, stroking her arm and whispering the small "it'll be okay." He hoped he was getting across, but had no idea.
She stayed in a state of shock. The colour in her face faded. Her blood pressure dropped immensely, and lack of all blood flowing, she fainted in the arms of her friend.
By now, Katsuki has ventured far away from the two he was once with in attempt to find the attacker. He blinks, and once his eyes open, a man now stood in front of him.
His mind raced. Is this who wanted her? Someone was after her, not even Kirishima believed his own words he told Lena. He stood his ground, not making the mistake Lena did and let the man talk; answer the questions running through his mind.
"Who are you and what do you want?" He barks out, his anger getting to the best of him and sounding more reckless and childish than scary and confident.
He doesn't answer Katsuki's question, and mumbles to himself. "I remember that fellow with her. Although he did have black hair when he was younger." There was an immature ring in his tone.
"You know her? Who are you?!" He yells once again, growing more annoyed.
"Haven't gotten the trust of my lil girl yet? How upsetting, Prince. Last chance to capture her heart, soon she'll be with me and we'll have the time of our lives." He mocks, a tone of a man-child who doesn't know better than getting what he wants. He spoke arrogantly- not with any sort of confidence.
He sent his first attack, but it was blocked with the beam he used on Lena. "What do you want with her?"
"Nothing bad, don't worry about that. We just need to finish what she trained so hard for." He adjusts his glove, flexed his fingers. A sigh escaped his curled lips, "I believe I've spoken too much, Lena won't be happy to hear that if she's made an attempt to hide it. Oh, no matter, everyone will know soon enough. I must go, good luck on that pursue, Prince. She's quite the stubborn girl." With a snarl, the man was gone.
He stood, shocked. So much information was spilt, yet he had not one clue on who the man was. Well, its a given he knows Lena, has something to do with her. His relationship with her was clear, but there couldn't be reason for Lena to feel the same. He's a villain, here with the League. So he can't be good for her.
So many questions were left unanswered, so he ran back to Kirishima with hopes he knew. He didn't even see Lena passed out in his arms, and instead stared straight at the red-headed man. "Who was that I just talked to. A man who knew you and Lena were close as a kid, a man who knows who she is and wants her back!" His voice raises the longer he talks. He didn't realize how riled up he got. It mattered to him more than he cared to admit.
