Chapter Eighteen

"Good luck against him, Lena."

Lena nodded, "Thank you, for everything." Recovery Girl gave her a sweet smile and wished her a good bye.

While Katsuki was getting healed by Recovery Girl, Lena decided to make her way down to their seating to reassure her friends.

Kaminari noticed her first, "Lena! Are you okay?!" He ran up to her, tackling her into a hug.

She returned the hug before pushing back, "Just a tad sore, Denk." He sheepishly backed off.

Jirou was more appropriate with her greeting and just dapped her up, "You were amazing out there."

"Endeavor is a bitch, I'm sorry girl." Mina said.

Lena stopped herself from showing a reaction. "It's no big deal."

"That's the way to see it." Sero swooped down and kissed both her cheeks.

She was greeted by the rest of her classmates who had many questions and comments. She answered them all the best she could, and was just thankful that Midoriya was still healing up.

"My battle with Katsuki should be starting soon, I should go." She escaped the room after too many good lucks. She realized then she was changed into a different uniform. The school should really start making fireproof ones.

Knowing she'll burn through yet another one, she ran to her class and found her bag where she keeps a set of fireproof clothing. She threw a long sleeves and shorts on. She put her pants back on but decided the top of her uniform would only get in her way.

She made it back just in time for the security guards to call her out. The air was different now. It was heavy with anticipation and excitement and the cheers from the crowd were louder than ever.

There was a clear chant of Katsuki's name, but she liked to think that the cheers for her were louder.

"It's the two fighters who swore at the beginning would win! They stuck to their word, but who will rise to the top and take number one spot? Keep your eyes trained on the battle and figure out!"

There was a minute to think while Present Mic continued announcing the stand off. She likes to say that Katsuki isn't strong enough to beat her, but she knows she's wrong. She has no idea where their quirks stand, but she knows how skilled he is with hand to hand combat.

Her heart was pounding with adrenaline. This was it, the final battle. She will win, and her name will be said around the entire world. She will be recognized as the strongest upcoming Hero.

She will be the strongest Hero, and can't wait for Ayatu to hear her name in everyone's mouth.

"The finals begin now!"

"So we kept our promise, Katsuki."

"We did, Doll Face." He sneered, his palms popping with explosions.

She turned her speed on and ran, landing the first punch although he was still quick enough to slightly dodge.

While unsteady on his feet, he threw an explosion at her, disrupting her own balance. The went back and fourth with their quirks, Lena dominantly using her fire.

He was swift with his explosions and knew how to thoroughly use his quirk. He was on top of his game, whereas Lena was faltering. She pushed any thoughts other than the fight out of her head, but it was hard when the weight of the crowd- and the possible people in the crowd- was crushing her.

Katsuki wouldn't allow Lena to use her fists as he was always able to maneuver his way out of combat. His arms had to be hurting because she was overheating from all the fire.
