Chapter Thirty-One

"Lena, I'm winning you back."

After Kastuki's talk with his mother, his mindset changed. He was still distant with most his classmates -including Suzuki- but was a lot more civil with Todoroki and his friends. He finally recognized Todoroki didn't do anything wrong, and it was his fault for assuming anything bad about him. Although he hasn't mustered up an apology yet, and probably won't, Todoroki understands, and is actually happy about it.

Surprisingly, he doesn't have the heart to break up with Suzuki just yet. She's very supportive of Katsuki, and still understands he's not emotionally available right now, even if it's because of another girl. She knows he still loves her, but the fact that she's sticking around for him even though the feelings may never be there for her, shows that he can't just do it yet. He knows he should, and should do it soon. Before she gets too invested in the relationship.

But everything overall is better for him. They're figuring out more and more about the villains, and are close to her rescue. He's a lot happier than before, -of course, not as happy as he was before everything went wrong- but he's getting there. He knows she'll be back soon. He's knows no one will back off until she's safe.

Katsuki is on a high, but no one could say the same for Todoroki. He's back to how he was, no motivation besides his father's. Even now, the fire to prove his dad wrong isn't how strong it used to be. But when it was, Lena pushed him to be better than his father with fire, instead of not using it overall. It's not like he needs to be attached to Lena's hips at all times, in fact, a lot of the times at school before the fights happened, they weren't together much. It's more like he just finds comfort knowing she's there. They don't need to be talking, or with each other, but he knows she's there if he ever wants to.

But now she's not.

Currently, Todoroki was at home. He walked into his bathroom, about to take a shower. Going to get a new bottle of his shampoo, he found Lena's products.

Lena came over so frequently that she has enough essentials at his house that she doesn't need to bring anything with her when she came. She had a little basket of clothes, even though she's usually lounging in either Todoroki, Nastuo's and sometimes Fuyumi's clothes. She has a toothbrush, skincare products, shower products and even a sketchbook and some pencils she doesn't use often anymore.

He laughed at the abundance of 'unnecessary' products. Sure, he takes care of his hair and skin, but he found it crazy with how much Lena and Fuyumi will be willing to spend on their products. Here alone he counted three different moisturizers, he couldn't imagine what's at her house.

During his shower, he played the playlist they made together. It was a mixture of their different musics tastes, and was titled the 'dumb' name of "Some heat for all his Ice." He's tried changing it so much, but somehow it's always changed back, with a different variation of emojis every time. Right now, the two are '😎😳'

Once he was out of the shower, he decided to look through all the artwork they did together. His looks like child's work compared to hers, but he does she the improvement, thanks to her.

He went downstairs to make himself some dinner. Unless Lena's around, most nights they don't eat together as a family, considering their very different schedules. Although Today, Fuyumi joined him.

Once the food was finished, they sat down. It was silent at first, but Fuyumi started the conversation. "Shoto, what's wrong?" They were the closest out of everyone in their family. With their mom being distant, and Endeavor being how he is, they developed a very strong relationship. Todoroki is always quiet and never really shows much emotion, but Fuyumi knows it's different this time.

"You don't have to worry about me, Sis." His only focus was if Lena's okay. To himself, he doesn't matter right now.
