"I know, I know. I'm sorry."

Dabi had fallen asleep on the chair hours ago. Lena knew this from the way his breathing fell softer and she stopped hearing the pages of his book flipping.

On the other hand, she couldn't even find a comfortable position to lay in, nonetheless fall asleep at all. She was sitting up, finding the small room unbelievably hot.

She controlled her breathing, telling herself small affirmations that never seem to be true. She's not alright, not when she's surrounded by monsters.

Of course, she acts as if everything is dandy. Puts up a front of strength, acting as if a small girl like her has any right to mock men that could destroy her. She pretends she's fine, that their little catcalls don't bother her. Their constant nicknames reminding her of her relation to both Ayatu and All for One.

She often thought about her friends but that was always under different circumstances. Thinking about them reminded her that she can see them the next day, that she just needs to get through the night.

But now that they're out of reach, it's the worst thing she could think of. She starts realizing how she took the little things for granted.

Every morning she had her favourite latte because it was either her buying for them or someone surprising her with one.

The small little remarks she can hear Kaminari make to Sero or Kirishima during class. The scolding he would get from Aizawa because he never knew how to control his volume.

The nights with Mina and Jirou, gushing over whatever came to mind. Conversation with them has always be the easiest.

She found herself thinking about her other friends too. Classmates would be more fitting of a title, but she loves them all.

Midoriya and he fascination with her family's quirk. How he'd get a little to excited and say something he deemed inappropriate considering the status of said family. She'd laughed, and answer the question with as much enthusiasm as him.

Iida. She found herself missing his scoldings of behaviour. She always purposely provoked him, as his reaction to her absurd behaviour was terribly funny.

Yaoyorozu was an absolute doll. Tokoyami and Shoji were some of her favourite people to work with. Both calm headed and a complete contrast to her work ethic.

But even if she weren't thinking about her classmates, her family and friends, her mind constantly wandered to two boys.

Todoroki and Katsuki.

Lena only hoped Todoroki was well. Dabi reminded her a lot of him, and that meant he was usually on her mind. After figuring out all he's gone through, she felt the need to protect him and help him grow. And he had. After hearing what he endured and the isolation of his childhood, her heart only warmed when she saw him with Midoriya and his friends.

She thought about Katsuki most. Instead of the meaningful memories with him, she always ended up thinking about their fall. She thinks over and over where and when it happened, and she always hates the conclusion she came up with.

It was her. She was the one- if only she just asked him instead of ignoring him. She would hope he came to her first, wondering why she was ignoring him. She hoped he cared.

But he didn't if he had Suzuki. Which he did- and he didn't hesitate to start a relationship with him. He knew Lena his entire time at U.A and he never showed any hint of desire.

Yet he was with Suzuki that quickly. She was delusional, she told herself that every night. She was downright stupid to think Katsuki saw her as anything more than some motivation and a challenge.
