Chapter Twenty-Three

Kissing Katsuki...

She couldn't believe what she was watching. His arms around her waist while she hugged his neck. Them both smiling in the kiss. Even when they pulled away they continued with small peppering kisses before actually letting go.

The students at the table noticed Lena's staring, and later knew why she was stuck. Katsuki pulled away from his new girlfriend and locked eyes with Lena. He saw her lost eyes glossing over. He saw her pout and her hands twiddling, he knew that was her method of fidgeting when she was any emotion but happy.

When she caught his stare, she shook her head and got rid of the sadness showing on her face. He won't see her cry over him. She excused herself and calmly walked away, leaving using a different exit than the one Katsuki was at.

She found herself at the gym, and despite the looks because of her pretty attire, she grabbed gloves and started channeling her sadness into anger. That's how she knows how to cope.

Yet she couldn't help the few tears that streamed down her face. Shs missed her opportunity, but she should've seen it coming. He wouldn't spend so long with a girl if he weren't interested in her.

She didn't want to think about it, so she kept herself busy with the punching bag til her arms ached. When they did, she took a water break and continued to punch.

It wasn't that much better in the breakfast buffet. Everyone had their eyes trained on Katsuki and Suzuki who were walking to the table.

He tried ridding the kiss from his mind. He didn't like Suzuki, or maybe just not nearly as much as he liked Lena's company. But she liked him, she was the one with him. The one who was nice from the start, the one who kept him around. And that's enough for him, especially if Lena is bothered by it.

Suzuki, who was holding Katsuki's hand, was beaming. Katsuki just nodded in the direction of Kirishima and Kaminari.

Hagakure coughed. "So you two are a thing? Congrats.."

"We made it official last night." Suzuki said, with no harm at all intended.

"Hm." Tokoyami hummed.

Todoroki cleared his throat. "Excuse me."

"Yeah, go find Lena." Katsuki barked.

Todoroki glared at him, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the napkin he held. "Yeah, I am going to find her." Todoroki had an idea on why the two were fighting and it was laughable. He's jealous of Todoroki, despite him having no romantic feelings towards Lena.

He found it stupid how childish the two could be.

"Yeah leave and find her, then you two could fuck off."

"Jealous of the time I spend with her?" Katsuki tensed at that. Todoroki turned to Mina, "Can I get your keys? I'll check her room."

Mina shook her head, "No, Eijirou and I will go look for her as well. I don't like her being alone."

"Of fucking course you guys will." Katsuki hasn't spent any time with them since his fight with Lena and it's taken a toll on him. He hates to admit it, but he misses them.
