Chapter Fourteen

Now she can prove them wrong.

They were given only a couple minute break. Lena talked amongst her closest friends who all made it to the next rounds.

"I'm planning on winning, but best of luck to you guys!" Kirishima said, pushing his fists together.

"I mean you all already heard what I have to say. If I announce it to the world it's obviously true." Lena shrugs in all confidence.

Sero, being the tallest of them all, leans down from behind Lena and whispers in her ear, "And you didn't win the race. How confident can you be after that loss?"

"I'll win, just like helping everyone on their toes." Lena looks over to Katsuki, expecting him to retaliate. She ignored the annoyance she felt when he didn't bicker with her.

"Bakugou's silent. Maybe he's upset he came in 4th place." Mina teases.

He looks up, distraught. With a furrow of his brows and a snarl on his lips he speaks, "At least I'm holding a memorable spot and name? Was the crowd chanting yours?"

He shut Mina up. The rest of the group too.

"I need to talk to Deku. Maybe threaten him or something I don't know. I wonder how he'll feel if I push the weight of crowds pressure on him." Lena wonders aloud, finally getting a reaction out of Katsuki. His small smirk and cover of laughter was enough for her.

"What a fucking bitch you are." Jirou giggles, playing with her earphone.

"Deku? When'd you pick up on that shitty nickname?" Kaminari asks.

Lena shrugs and walks off, approaching the quivering boy. He was already nervous, Lena almost felt bad for doing this. "Hey, Deku."

He jumps at the sudden voice and turns around. "Not you too. You sound just like Kacchan."

She laughs. "So, first place? You'll regret taking that spot from me." Her eyes narrowed, his went wide.

"I'm sorry-"

"Actually, I should be thanking you. Wouldn't want that pressure from the crowd so early into the festival." She says with thought in her voice.

Before he can speak further, they're called on by Midnight.

She announced that the next part will be a calvary battle. She explained the point system, and just as Lena thought, Midoriya was faced with the pressure of 1st place, in the form of a 10,000,000 point headband.

The easy thing would be joining Midoriya's team and protecting his points to win. But she didn't like that, she'd rather take those points from him.

She can either team with Katsuki or Todoroki. Both would accept her, and both have the highest points. Lena with 205, Todoroki with 200 and Katsuki with 195.

She went with Todoroki. Katsuki would piss her off too much. He was already going to approach her and ask, and was specifically focusing on her speed. The other two he wanted was Yaoyorozu and Kaminari. Lena was happy to hear she'll be with a friend of hers.

They planned their positions and how they'll utilize their quirks. Todoroki would be the rider, Kaminari's lightening and Lena's fire will be long range attacks and Yaoyorozu, as well as Lena, will focus on protecting the team.

The battle was starting. Every team had their eyes on Midoriya and his headband. When it started, his team dashed off, and every other team chased.

He flew up in the air. He was controlling himself, so it couldn't have been by the helps of Uraraka's Zero Gravity. Lena noticed the shoes he wore. She didn't ponder on it too much, their team already decided they'll steal others headbands before getting Midoriya's.
