Chapter Thirty-Seven

"Lena, we gotta talk about this later. We, as in me, you and Aizawa."

"why though? Like I'm down or whatever but why so sudden?"

"It's just-nah, it's not that big of a deal. I'll explain when we tell him." He was quick to stop himself from telling the classmates with them.

Lena seemed to understand. "Sure, loser." The four of them continued doing as they were doing til Aizawa stopped by to say goodnight and tell them its lights out. The class said goodnight back and then to each other, before going to their individual rooms.

Lena tried her hardest to fall asleep, even taking some melatonin and using lavender oil, which has always worked for her. Around midnight, she put on her slippers and slipped out of her room.

She went down to the floor below and found Todoroki's dorm. Not wanting to disrupt him if he is sleeping, or anyone else on the floor she just texted him a simple, "u up?" When he answered she told him to open the door.

As soon as he did, she ran into his arms. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She repeated, burying her face into the crook of his neck. He decided to just lead her to his bed instead of saying anything. When she finished, he asked.

"Whats wrong?" It was simple, but it was genuine.

"I'm sorry." She said for the millionth time.

"Why? You didnt do anything"

"I'm sorry because I thanked Dabi. I said in front of everyone that someone who walked out on you and your family was a good person. Someone who turned out to be a villain. I called him a good person! I don't understand how I didn't think about how you must've felt at all. I'm sorry."

"Lena, please no. Touya was a great guy and I'm glad you were able to see that. I so happy he protected you because I was so worried. It's true that he did walk out on us, but that's in the past. I owe him for protecting you when I couldn't." He laid her down with her, opening his arms on his back while she laid on his chest. "Please don't worry about me, Len. I couldn't be happier right now. You've taught me so much in these past couple months we've been friends."

"Like what?" She mumbled, getting tired now that she's comfortable and reassured.

"You taught me that there's so much more to being a Hero and enrolling a this school than just proving my dad wrong. Because of you, I've grown so much stronger, physically and mentally. I have friends now too. Midoriya and his friends always hung around me but I never properly realized how much they're willing to do for me. You and the others make me really enjoy this school. I'm looking forward to being a Hero for so many more reasons now. I owe you everything, Lena. I love you." He smiled, playing with her hair. She was half asleep and drifting off, but she still heard it all. "Oh, you're asleep. Goodnight, Lena."

"I love you too.." She whispered.

Lena woke up from the best sleep she's gotten since she came back. Todoroki was my i'm bed with her, but already up putting on his shirt.

"Oh, good morning Lena. Did you sleep okay?" He asked, slipping on his blazer and fixing his tie.

"One of the bests." She smiled. "I'm sorry I interrupted your night."

"No, of course not. Let me just finish up and I'll bring you to your room." He touched up his hair and then brought her to her room. While he was waiting out in the hall for you, Katsuki was leaning his room.

"What're you doing up here, Icy-Hoy?" He asked, not as maliciously as usually would sound. It was just a question, not even questioning any other factors.
