Chapter Two

the piercing is something she did with Lena and Kirishima, something cute i like to think of

"Bye, losers. I guess the next time we will see each other will be at our entrance exams."

*Beep beep beep*

She caught herself from throwing a flame to her annoying alarm clock. She would've, if that wouldn't have been her fourth clock burnt.

Checking her phone, she realized that she'll be late if she stays in bed any longer. She's always late to events, or as she would like to say- "fashionably late." Her time management could be seen as one of her greater flaws, although she'd deny any flaws at all.

She showered last night, so when she woke up she quickly threw on white sweatpants and a black t-shirt. She needed clothes she could move in and be comfortable in, so that seemed simple enough.

She stretched and ran out the door. She got some coffee and a bagel on her way there and made it just in time to see the angry hedgehog scaring off a little boy with green hair.

"So he's applying here, and he's my age. I wonder how things will work out." She hummed to herself, spotting Kirishima and Mina from the crowd and making her way to them. She filled them in quickly, and their eyes started searching for the boy who's already walked away.

They walked into the auditorium and watched as everyone fawned over Present Mic. Lena was very familiar with him, and him and Aizawa were very close. Kirishima and Mina knew him too, so it wasn't much of a shocker for them.

Everyone listened to Mic ramble, even though they all just wanted to get to the exam. Once it was time and everyone was split into arenas, Lena waited patiently for the call to let them go.

"GO!" Without losing a second of time, her wings sprouted and she got a better view of her surroundings.

'Destroy robots and find people in danger, that's what a pro would do.'

Her eyes wandered around the area before spotting a huge pack of robots. She flew down closer to them and put her hands together to let out a gust of flames, burning the robots. Counting the points, she gained 17 from that single attack.

Her points only went up as she easily defeated robots in the air. Her flying quirk giving her too much of an advantage.

But the rush on completing this exam was why she took it. She could've easily gotten in by Hero Recommendation but that would've been too easy.

While flying around, she saw a helpless boy under a 0 point robot. Deciding helping him will be more of an advantage to her than him, she flew down to help him.

She picked him up, barely missing getting crushed and flew higher up in the hair, melting the robot with her fire. Once it was defeated, she dropped the boy back to the ground.

So, a teenage boy who could be competition, even though she is already accepted into the school... what to do about this?

Lena, the little flirt, decided that flirting would be the most fun option. "Whats your name, Cutie?" She winked.

"Awase. Thank you for saving me..?"

"My name is Lena. I hope you remember that. I hope to see you at U.A, handsome." She sweetly smiled, and flew off. She would've done a lot more, but she wants to make sure she has the highest points.

Just as she was about to take down another three pointer, she saw a familiar head of ash blond hair take it before her. She yelled down, "Hey prick! That was mine!" But before she can say anymore, without even saving her a glance, he blasted off.

"An explosion quirk, cute."

In the end, she counted 87 battle points.

After the exam, she called up Mina and Kirishima to ask them if they'd like to hang out. They agreed, and they walked over to a park they always go to. The colourful garden made it a prime place for their Instagram pictures.

"So how do you you guys think you did?" Mina asked. "I think I counted 51 points for me. This acid ain't no joke."

"67 points. I flunked the written exam for sure though. I hope my quirk is enough to get in."

"Oh yeah, me too." Mina agreed.

"The written exam was no problem, and I believe I have 87 battle points. I rescued a guy too, that has to count for something." She mentions, getting praise from her two best friends.

"Rescue points didn't even cross my mind!" Mina complained. "You're just showing off. You didn't even need to take this exam."

"Yeah.. Show off." Kirishima sulked.

Lena was reluctant on bringing up the boy once again, but decided to tell her friends about the ash blond she has run into one too many times.

Their reaction, of course, was predictable. Boy crazy Kirishima and Mina loved gossiping about possible boyfriends, and loved teasing their friend over it the most.

Little did the three know what the future months held for Lena.
