A week went by.After her initial return, and the day after, she decided to take the rest of the week off. In that time, she focused on getting her life in order.
Her classmates will soon know; something she still doesn't want to happen. All Might still hasn't returned from the hospital; a burden she has completely thrown on herself. Ayatu is still loose; a thought that consumes her wholly.
After telling her friends, Lena isolated herself from them. Telling them was something she had intended to do, but on her own terms. When she was ready. Not to explain a kidnapping.
She couldn't help but feel like she was calling out for pity. That she was asking for attention by sharing her story. Because ultimately her friends will react as such, all in quick attempts to fix what isn't their problem.
She was at the gym. She's spent a lot of her time working out, disgusted with her sunken body from the time she spent away from the equipment.
She avoided times when Katsuki would be there, as they shared a gym and she happened to have remembered his schedule. She remembered because he became apart of her schedule.
Since she originally told them and then ghosted, he hadn't reached out to her. She doesn't know if he's still with Suzuki, but she knows she's off of campus now. An affair she had Aizawa deal with right away.
She had sworn she was at least a little over him, but seeing him for the first time in that classroom made all that crash down. Settling down beside him, her heart was beating so loud she swore he could hear it.
She was so in love with him, it was making her fold. The usual walking ball of confidence was crumbling in embarrassment.
The week of her absence was when Aizawa informed every one of the dorms and got all parental permission. He discussed the matters with Lena separately.
She was still on edge with them all. After their initial discussion on her return, she was obligated to many more. Many villains- including All For One- were caught, but Shigaraki and a few others, were not. Lena needed to provide all the information she knew.
Aizawa and the others made a good attempt to talk to her, to explain and to apologize. Lena understood, but she still felt so dirty and guilty when she figured out her relations to him. She supposed she'd feel the same even if Aizawa told her, but having to figure out from All For One wasn't ideal, and she was hurt.
Lena was almost reluctant with the dorm plan. She would've loved it a few months ago, but she's afraid of her friends seeing her in such a vulnerable state like the one she is in right now. And if she were to fall into one again, they'd all be a door away.
But Aizawa encouraged it for the fact even more. She's always told her she needs to rely on people more. Embrace their help.
Every time he says that she feels more like a burden.
Yet she packed up everything carefully. A box for books. For art supplies. Personal belongings. It was a tedious task ridding her walls of the decoration thats kept her alive. At least everything with Katsuki was tucked away in her closet, but she put those in the box too.
It was foolish of her to rid of in the first place, she wanted him to be happy yet she thought that happiness would be with her. When it wasn't, she lashed out. She was childish. She was still the kid trapped in Ayatu's care.
Students were supposed to arrive in the afternoon, but Lena was allowed in early. She wanted to decorate, making it feel like a homecoming party.
She had food prepared, stocked in the fridge along with groceries that should last a week or so. Lena was already in charge of grocery shopping, and she should choose a partner that would help her impulse control.
