                               "Sammy! Sammy!" Five-year-old Y/n squealed, running after the older boy. "Hello, Y/n," Sam greeted as she latched onto Sam's leg. "How are you?" She giggled. "Great!" She giggled making Sam laugh too. Her laughter was contagious.

                                 Y/n skipped ahead of Sam as she and Sam walked through the streets of Rifthold together.

                                "Y/n, we need to head back now," said Sam making her pout. "I don't want to go back," she whines as Sam took her hand. "I know. Your father will be worried about you," said Sam, leading her back. "Okay."

                                  Sam understood why Y/n didn't want to go back. Like Celaena, she had to learn how to cut people up while they were alive, she had to learn how to wield weapons and kill people. All of that and she hated it. She preferred reading (because of Celaena) and lady-like things than killing.

                                      Sam and Y/n reached Assassin's Guild. Arobynn apparently was waiting for Y/n in the dining room leaving Sam to wander around for a bit with nothing to do. He heard a yelp and a shout, "Sammy!"

                                     Sam burst in only to be tackled by the small girl as she cried. Arobynn was gone, leaving her alone with Tern and Wesley. Sam was kicked out forcing the young girl to stay with Tern and Wesley.

                                    Sam had to get her out. And he knew who to ask to help.

~time skip~

                                   Celaena slipped through the open window, she was now in Y/n's bedroom. The said girl popped her head from her covers, she was already dressed and ready to leave. Celaena held her hand out and Y/n took it, her bag on her back.

                                         Celaena stepped out with Y/n resting on her hip. Sam nodded at Celaena and the trio disappeared into the night, leaving no trace behind.

                                         Arobynn made sure Celaena and Sam learned their lesson for helping his daughter flee then sent out Tern to seek her out only to come back empty handed. She was safe and happy where she now lived and nothing will change that.
