Bang. That jolted Y/n awake in her wagon. She sighs when she realized that she is getting closer to the salt mines. She is all alone in her wagon now, the other slaves have been shoved into a different wagon and went in a different direction.

She frowns when the wagon took a different path, she grasped the bars with her dirtied hands then saw the port. Why the port? Is she not going to the salt mines?

The wagon came to a sudden stop, a guard opened the door and shoved Y/n out of the wagon and onto one of the ships. He chained her to a wall then leaves, Y/n leans against it with a sigh and closes her eyes; hoping that the trip won't be too rocky.

Y/n wondered what Chaol is up to. Is he looking for her? Is he grieving? Did he receive the letter she had written for him? Or did he simply move on and didn't care about her?

Y/n hoped for the latter, hoping that Chaol is trying to find her, to free her. With whirling thoughts, Y/n fell into a deep sleep.

When she woke up, she felt something stirring inside; something that was once locked away for many years. Magic. Her magic is alive and wanting to be free. Something struck the side of the ship, Y/n heard shouting and yelling. She heard, "Fae!" In the distance. A Fae must have sensed her magic and sought to free her from this hell.

The wall next to Y/n blew open making her scream and cover her face. Something grabbed the chains that held her and broke it. Y/n slowly uncovered her face and the first thing she saw is a pair of green eyes, silver hair, and tattoos. Then, she blacked out.

When Y/n regains consciousness, she finds herself in a bed in a room. She looked around and saw the same Fae from before and she connected the dots.

                                                     "Uncle."

Y/n told her uncle the full story and how she wanted to go back. Back home, but he refused to send her back. He told her that it's too dangerous, he had gotten into trouble with the queen he saved because of freeing Y/n. Instead, he offered to train her in secret, far away from his queen and comrades. He promised her that it will be worth it and she agreed.

"I will join you once everything is been dealt with," said Rowan to Y/n.

The uncle and niece stood in the harbor together with bags by Y/n's feet.

"Are you sure we can trust her?" Y/n asked him.

"If there's anyone I could trust in these lands other than you, it's her," Rowan confirmed, "Now go. Find your lover and tell him everything." Y/n wrapped her arms around Rowan's neck.

"Goodbye, Uncle." Rowan embraced her back tightly.

                                                            "Until we meet again."

Y/n boards the ship and the ship leaves the port. She waved goodbye until she could no longer see her uncle then turned her attention to the sea.

                                                               "Chaol, I'm coming."
