Y/n limped through the halls of the wounded, he passed by some ruk riders and they nodded at him as he continued to walk. He had to find his sister, Yrene, or sister figure is more like it. He heard puking, he rounded a corner and into a room to find Yrene throwing up in a bucket with Elide Lochan hovering over her.

                                                 "Yrene!"

Y/n rushed over to Yrene's side, his hand against her back.

"I'm okay," Yrene murmured to Y/n. "I'm okay."

Elide realized Y/n wanted some time alone with the healer and left them alone. Y/n helped Yrene up to her feet then guided her over to a small stool.

"The babe?" Y/n softly questioned, his hand resting on Yrene's abdomen. "Fine," Yrene murmured softly, her hand resting on Y/n's.

"You're not hurt? No injuries for me to take care of?"

"Just a limp. Nothing for you to worry about."

                                                        "Y/n."

"I'm fine, Yrene. I swear it."

Yrene sighs, she knew there was no way she'd win against his stubbornness.

"I can't be worrying about my own wounds when my sister is throwing her guts up every damn hour," Y/n said, his gaze meeting Yrene's.

"And if you die because of those wounds then you won't need to worry," Yrene fired back.

Y/n cringed at Yrene's tone then looked up when he heard the door opening. His brother by law entered. Y/n knew that his sister was in good hands and got up to leave.

                                                                "I'll rally up the men."

                                                                 Then he was gone.

"He's so protective," Yrene grumbled to Chaol.

"He's your brother, Yrene. It makes sense for him too."

"You're supposed to be on my side."

Sorry for being so short! It appears that my writing skills have gone slack for today!
