                                              Chaol could hear a girl giggling coming from somewhere making his stomach drop and his stomach dropped even more when he heard a boy giggling along too. He was charged with taking care of Crown Prince Dorian Havillard and Lady Y/n of House L/n and he ended up losing them in a matter of minutes. 

                                               Chaol strained his ears, trying to pick up the source of giggling. He turned a corner and saw the two children huddled together, laughing and giggling. 

                                                "There you are!" Both children looked up at the older boy and burst into a full laughing fit. 

                                                 "What are you two laughing about?" Chaol demanded as the laughter reduced into giggling. 

                                                   Despite Dorian being a few years younger than Chaol, he still acts like a child, especially when Lady Y/n was involved. The children burst into a run and Chaol had to run after them, barking curses as he went.

                                                   He followed the laughter of the children, their laughter echoing off the walls of the hallways as Chaol ran and ran and ran. It was like a maze, trying to figure out where the children had run off to. 

                                                    Chaol slowed to a stop, he couldn't hear their laughter anymore. It was completely silent as if the children had disappeared into thin air. 

                                                     "Prince Dorian! Lady Y/n!" Chaol shouts. "This is no game! I was asked to watch over you both! Please! Show yourselves!" 

                                                       Chaol walked past an open window and something cold struck his back making him jump. He spun around and saw the children forming snowballs and tossing them at Chaol. 

                                                       Chaol scowled at the children. They made him run around as if he's gone mad and this is where they were this whole time? He marched outside, storming outside. By the time Chaol made it outside, he saw Prince Dorian running in circles with Lady Y/n chasing him with two fistfuls of snow. 

                                                        Chaol stopped and scoffed. The scoff eventually turned into soft chuckles, then to soft laughter, then full on a laugh. The two children stopped running, looking at each other then started to laugh along with Chaol.
