Part 2 of The Marks. I've also realized that Rhysand wasn't really part of the first part and I felt a bit dumb, sorry. Also, I meant to change Azriel to Rhysand from the previous chapter so I wanted to clear that up in this chapter.

The sunlight shone through the window causing Y/n to wake up. She felt a heavy weight on her waist, she turned around and saw her mate sleeping peacefully beside her. She kissed his cheek softly then slid out of bed only for her mate to yank her back.

"No." He mumbled making her laugh lightly.

"I have to do my job, High Lord," Y/n said, "And you have your job, Tarquin." He propped himself up using his elbow.

"Unfortunately," he sighs, "I will see you at dinner, yes?"

"Hopefully." Y/n agreed, she slid out of bed and started to get dressed.

Her hand brushed against a velvet box, she looked at Tarquin to see if he's still getting dressed. He is. Y/n opened the box revealing a ring, a Blackthorn ring. Even though she's married to Tarquin she still loved Mark.

"Are you alright?" Y/n closed the box and turned to face Tarquin.

"Fine. Just fine." She gave him a tight smile.

Tarquin held his arm out and she took it. The two left their shared room.

~meanwhile~

"So, this is where she lived?" Dru asked, looking around the townhouse.

"Indeed, Drusilla," Rhysand said, nodding at the young teen.

"It's beautiful," Emma admits, "Where is Y/n anyway?" Rhysand sighs.

"She's in a different court. I can take you to her if you'd like."

Rhysand Winnowed to the Summer Court.

"That.....was not a pleasant experience." Julian groans.

"It will take some time for you to get used to it," said Rhysand, "It certainly took Y/n some time."

                                                   "Speaking about my mate, Rhysand?"

The High Lord of the Night Court looked at the High Lord of the Summer Court.

                                                      "Mate?"

Rhysand looked at Mark, he realized Mark was the boy Y/n talked about so much before meeting Tarquin. He regretted bringing them here.

"Tarquin? Is my father here?" A feminine voice asked.

A flash of black appeared then stood next to Tarquin. Mark's heart clenched at the sight of the girl he loved so dearly.

Her eyes landed on Mark, her heart stopped beating then started up again.

"Hello, Mark, Julian, Emma, Dru, Ty, and Tavvy. It's.......been a while."

Y/n and Mark stood by a balcony, both silent.

"You still wear the ring, even though you found your mate."

Y/n ran her thumb against the Blackthorn ring then pulled it off, handing it to Mark.

"Even though Tarquin is my mate and husband I still love you, Mark. We can't go back to the past now, Mark. I'm sorry."

Mark watched Y/n walk back to her mate, he offered her his hand and she took it. Oh, how Mark wished he could hold her hand again.

It's too late now. She's found her one and only love, now it's time for him to move on.

I'm sorry about the uneven indenting. I usually write on my phone and when I write on the computer I can't indent by pressing tab like in Google Docs. Signing off for now, CT.
