(Sweetpea POV)
"I'm not gonna hook up with her dude, she's a northsider afterall." I laughed at Fangs while he tried to drive in a straight line. He winked at me and laughed too. His motorcycle was moving really fast so he started to go slower. Then he stopped because his phone rang.
"hey Toni, what's up? ... Yeah he is here. No worries, he probably just has his phone on silent mode... I'll ask him." Fangs pulled his phone away from his ear and asked me, "Why haven't you answered Toni's calls?" I shrugged and reached into my pocket to get my phone. Not the left side... I tried on the right side. No phone. I reached into my jacket pockets. "Shoot. I think I left it at Pop." My best friend rolled with his eyes and got onto his phone again. "He left it at Pop's. We'll be at the WW in 20 okay?" Fangs sighed and hang up. He got up on his motorcycle again and dared to me to do the same.
When we entered Pop's Chock'lit Shop I ran to the booth Betty and I have been sitting. No phone there either. One of the waitresses looked at us confusedly, obviously cowed and finally asked if we needed help. We told her about my phone and a little smile appeared on her face. "That blonde girl gave it to us earlier. This one?" She said an showed us a smartphone after she reached in her pocket. I nodded and without thanking her Fangs and I wanted to leave the shop again. Then I recognized a big ass paper in the trash with a familiar face on it. I took it out of the trash and opened it up. Holy shit, that's me. An accurate and amazing drawing of my face. I tilted my head to the left and to the right, questioning myself if I should take it with me. After I heard Fangs voice shouting my name I just put it in my bag. Did she draw it?
(time jump)
It was midnight. I was laying on the blanket I always had with myself on the bench I've had slept on for the past six nights. I was shaking because it was cold but in my hands, I kept holding that drawing of myself admiring the beauty and talent. I couldn't put it away, it was fascinating to see how this person had drawn me. The scar on my left cheek was in the correct place, the emotion in my face was the same I always had. Bored and kinda annoyed. In my thoughts I pictured Betty drawing me and thinking about me and with that I drifted off.
