"I want to join the serpents." He gulped.
"You don't want to do that, that's so not you," he answered me.
"You don't know me and I can decide what I want to do on my own," I assured him, speaking through my teeth to sound more badass. Though I was actually pissed."I do know you, believe me." His words sent shivers down my spine. Does he? And why was he even talking to me after what he did this morning?
(Sweetpea's POV)
She looked hot, flawless and extremely attractive in that dress. It took all of my self-control to not get a boner, which would certainly have been the most embarassing thing to happen.
Betty looked so different when she was showing off like that; when she was having confidence. I couldn't help but grin at the thought of her finally stepping out of her game playing the good northsider girl.
She was the most interesting girl that I've met in a while, not only the way she was so innocent, which wasn't really part of any girl's character at the southside, also the different personalities she had shown me. Though I would have never told her that, obviously.
"I do know more about your true self than your friends," I stated and ran my hand through my hair.
She focused on my action for a second and I could sense a change in her mood.
"I don't have any friends, Sweetpea. Archie and Veronica never really liked me and the rest is just for school stuff," she mumbled, suddenly not as confident as before."Is that why you want to join the serpents?" My question was meant seriously, I really was wondering why a northsider like her would even consider joining a gang; especially the one that was despised by everyone.
"Sort of. But more because I don't have anything to live for. I'm just existing and I want something to make me feel alive," she admitted, looking at her feet now.
"I can make you feel alive, if you want me too." I smirked at her. Of course I shouldn't have said that after she had told me about her true feelings but I just couldn't help it. That dress just drove me insane.
She ripped her hand away; obviously just now realizing that I had still been holding her wrist. Her eyes darted up to mine, maybe to find out if I was being serious.
"Excuse me?" she finally said. Oh no.
"Look, I do aprecciate your concern about me, although I have no idea why you even bother to care about me but I want to join the serpents and no one can stop me, especially not you. And thank you for that offer but I decline. I hope to get my pleasures in a different way than sexually."First I was surprised, then I bursted out in laugh after listening to her.
"Look Princess, with this kind of speech it's obvious that you don't belong here. Don't be stubborn and just go home," I told her, still chuckling.
Betty looked at me, the anger clearly in her eyes. Then she tried to slap me but I raised my hands and stopped her.
"Don't you ever try to do that again," I warned her, getting closer to her face while still holding her wrists with my hand. She was staring right into my eyes."Okay, sorry," she sighed and rolled her eyes. "If I shouldn't join the serpents in your opinion, then tell me, what should I do? Because I won't go back to my normal life. I can't do this anymore."
That's when an idea came up in my mind, causing me to smile at her.
