(Betty's POV)
Since I was not allowed to have a driver’s license at this age, I had to use my bike to get to the Whyte Wyrm. I was feeling quite confident after the fight with Veronica, proud for standing up for myself.
During my ride I was regretting my choice of clothes because a short black dress isn't exactly the best decision for sitting on a bike. But I shoved my upcoming worries aside, concentrating on my plan.

As Rachel Berry in Glee always said: being part of something special makes you something special. And I?
I wanted to be part of something, for my own good. My plan? Joining the Serpents.

My subconsciousness was trying to stop me; it reminded me of the consequences I would have to face if I actually got into the Serpents but I ignored it. After this day nothing mattered to me anymore; the only chance I saw in changing something in my life was joining the serpents.

There it was. The old house almost seemed a little creepy but the elderly people around the entrance wearing leather jackets bothered me more in this moment. I took a deep breath and eyed the house once more, but before my head could let me consider the pros and cons of this situation I took a step towards the door.

Multiple people standing next to the entrance started staring at me while my anxiety grew with every inch.
"Sweet Lady, you might have missed the turn to Barbieworld."
"Jughead's new mistress probably?"
"What do you want, cupcake?"

I decided to not answer any of the comments I heard; if I had I might have said something wrong so I figured staying quiet was the best solution. I just winked at all of them, trying to show off my confidence.

Some man with a scar right on top of his nose stood in front of the entrance, so I crossed my arms and looked at him.
"Let me in," I said and bit my lower lip. "Please?"
He started laughing. "Honey, go home. You don't belong here."
When he reached for my wrists, I slapped his hands away and told him "fuck off".
The man obviously wasn't happy about my reaction to his touch and I could see a fire lighting up in his eyes. He laughed evilly, and my confidence started to fade.

Suddenly I felt cornered; I hadn’t realized that the other men were getting closer to me as well, circling me now. My subconsciousness was screaming that I should run and just get away but I remained standing still. I've ran from too much in my life, not this time.

"Betty?"
I turned around and spotted Sweetpea. His expression was unreadable. The serpent jacket on him looks amazing although it was covered with dirt and other smudges that I couldn't make out.

While Sweetpea came closer, the circle of other Serpents was getting lighter. He was a respected Serpent.

"You know this northside princess?" The guy who tried to touch me earlier stared at Sweetpea in disbelief.

"Yeah," he simply answered and I decided to stay quiet again.

Sweetpea reached for my wrist and tilted his head to the right, telling me to follow him.

A few steps away from the others, enough so no one would hear us, he stopped walking.

"What do you want here?" He sighed and stared at me. His attitude was still the same – emotionless.

"I want to join the serpents." He gulped.
"You don't want to do that, that's so not you," he answered me.
"You don't know me and I can decide what I want to do on my own," I assured him, speaking through my teeth to sound more badass. Though I was actually pissed.

"I do know you, believe me." His words sent shivers down my spine. Does he? And why was he even talking to me after what he did this morning?
