"You literally scared me." My mom said, tucking me into Emma and I's shared bed. Laurie and my dad couldn't make it out, but I ended up FaceTiming them both. I'm just happy that our mom was able to come out. Plus, I am under 18 so it was much easier with her being at the hospital so she could deal with all the paperwork bullshit.

As she covered me up with the comforter, Emma ended up crawling in bed as well, snugging close to me- gently so she wouldn't put any pressure on my ribs.

"I'm sorry, but I'm okay now, I just have to take the medicine and I'll be fine." I answered back, not wanting her to worry about me. She smiled back, lightly touching my forehead and then Emma's. Feeling the comforting touch made me feel extremely happy on the inside.

"You girls are too cute, I have to take a picture." She cooed, pulling out her phone- holding it just like any mom would.

"I look so bad, I literally have no hair on the side of my head." My hand reached up to feel the shaved area. It wasn't extremely bad, but I still was pretty mad about it.

"Yeah, and I look like I did three pounds of cocaine." Emma threw her hand up in the hair dramatically. Looking over at my twin, I laughed, but instantly stopped because of how sore I was.

Our mom groaned, giving us a look. "You girls look beautiful, now smile." She held her phone back up horizontally. Both Emma and I faked smiled just to make her happy.

"Great, well, I'm going to let you two rest," we watched as she began to make her way to the stairs. "Yell if you need anything, I'll be cleaning."

Both Emma and I exchanged looks, satisfied by hearing that she voluntarily stated that she was going to clean our messy apartment. We haven't had a real chance to move and sort my stuff into it yet.

Once she was down stairs, I pulled out my phone, Emma did as well.

"I'm probably going to nap because I'm so drained still." I told her, checking to see if Grayson texted me.

"Same, I think Ethan, Grayson and James are going to come over later."

I nodded my head, figuring that they would. "Okay, maybe then Grayson can try and refresh my memory as to what all happened before a car crashed into me." I tried to joke, wanting to make light of the situation.

Emma let out a weird "ha" before locking her phone. "He will, but I'm so dead so I'll see you when I wake up, love you so much." She gave me a gentle kiss on the side of my head before moving over onto the other side of the bed.

My heart melted, loving this girl more and more everyday. "Love you so much."

With that, I looked back at my screen, seeing the recent text from Grayson.

Gray: I'll see you soon ❤️ We will probably come over around 7

I know how much pain and anger he caused me, but my gut is just telling me to not jump to conclusions until I hear his side of the story... so seeing this text with the heart emoji makes me smile ear to ear.

Me: I can't wait 😊 I'm going nap, very exhausted

Gray: I understand, rest up, you'll need it for later 😉
