Part 8: Rooty tooty point-and-shooty

When you wake up you're still in the same bed but surrounded by 'get better' balloons, cards, and flowers. A small alarm goes off and Ed burst through the bedroom doors "You're awake!" You look at him confused "How long was I asleep?" He looks at his watch "When do you remember falling asleep?" You shrug "Like the 27th?" He nods "You were asleep for two months." You shake your head "You do realize my father is the god of Lies, right?"

He sighs "Well you're no fun. You've really been asleep for four days." You sigh "Well I'm starving so I need substance." He runs towards your side and leads you out to the kitchen. Once in there you sit down at a bar stool. Ed runs around the kitchen before he starts to make an omelet and serves it to you "I didn't know you could cook!" You exclaim as you eat it. Its warmth fills you and you eat it quickly. He smirks "You don't know a lot about me! Like did you know that I can speak a different language?"

You shake your head "No! Which language? How much of it can you speak?" He stops cooking and speaks shyly "Spanish and hola?" You give him the 'Are you kidding' face "One word does not qualify as you knowing the whole language." You both burst into laughter until you hear a familiar revving of an engine "Is James here?" Ed nods "Yeah, James made up with his dad a little after you got knocked out. He's gotten off pretty easy considering what he's done. But he's been visiting you every day to make sure you're ok."

You choke on your food "Ok, I am sorry but that is weird since we are not dating or anything." You hear the front door open and turn around to see James wide-eyed "You're up! We got to tell your father!" You nod "Don't worry, Heimdall has probably already sent a rider or raven to tell my father." He nods "I forgot that you guys still ride horses and don't have phones. How do you feel?" You shrug "Pretty good. I'm hungry though." He nods as he sits down next to you and studies your face.

You stop chewing "Is there something wrong with my face?" He shakes his head before looking somewhere else "No. Definitely not. Sorry." You finish your omelet and stretch. Ed looks at his phone "We have school in an hour. (y/n) do you want to go to school? You don't have to." You nod furiously "Yes! I would like to." Ed cleans up before grabbing your bag "Your dad thought you would need this!"

You take it and walk with Ed to his car (Time skip brought to you by me playing Cupid and shooting Shawn Mendes with a love arrow. He falls in love with the first person he sees) As you all get into gym and health a raccoon walks in before declaring "Alright class! I'm Rocket. I'll be teaching you guns while your teachers are out. There's some monster downtown probably eating everyone. Anyways, everyone up now!"

You all move out of the gym and go outside. There's a shooting range with three different guns on it. "Everyone step up to a booth and grab a pistol. If anyone shoots anyone I'm not responsible." You pick up your gun and quickly turn off the safety. James looks over impressed "That was quick. How did you know to turn it off?" You look at him weird "Mr. Lang has been teaching us about guns. Have you been paying attention?"

He rolls his eyes before turning off the safety and shoots his entire round at the target, hitting them dead on center. You cough "Show off." He smirks before you attempt to shoot. You don't get anywhere close to center "My gun is broken!" Ed bust out laughing "No, you just suck at this." You playfully slap him "Shut up!" Rocket tells everyone to continue shooting until their out. A student misses their target completely and nearly hits Rocket "Watch it idiot!"

The student says sorry before Black Widow and Hawkeye come out of the sky with parachutes and land next to the shooting range. They unclip and walk up to the class "Thank you Rocket for taking over while we handled the situation downtown. Now class we have to start working up towards our end of the year marathon run!"

A groan goes through the students. (Time skip brought to you by Shawn Mendes and Tom Holland competing over you) After a lot of running, groaning, and cursing you walk weakly to your next class, History. When you get in Bucky Barnes walks in. He takes roll then starts teaching. A very late Azari runs through the doors and to the seat next to you. No one seems to care that he's late.

He immediately starts talking to you "Hey (y/n) I wanted to ask you, would you care to come back home with me to Wakanda and meet my family?" You nod "I've always wanted to go to Wakanda! Who would I meet?" He lists off the people "My two mothers, my father, and my two younger sisters." You nod and ask "Not to be weird or anything but you have two moms?"

He nods "Yeah, Storm is my birth mother. She ended up divorcing my father but he went back to his first love and had my two younger sisters with her." You nod understanding "That's nice that you have multiple parents." He gives a small nod knowing what you mean "I'm sorry about your mother." You huff "It's fine, it was a while ago. How did you hear about her?"

He replies softly "My father told me once. She was a goddess from Asgard right?" You nod "She was. She died during one of the great wars for my father. She was the bravest woman I knew." He whispers "I'm sorry we got on such a sad subject. Are you ok?" You sigh before returning back to your usual self "Yeah! Totally! So when do you go back home?"

He looks at you with sorrow before trying to match your emotion "Tonight! I will not get back though until Friday. But I'm sure if you want to leave you can probably use the Bifrost." You nod " I would love to go!" He smiles happily "Get ready for the best days of your life!" You giggle "You have not been to Asgard but I will entertain your hopes."
