Part 24: What a Bloody mess

Your hands shake as you see them covered in blood "What...I did the spell correctly. I spoke the words correctly. Why am I bleeding?" James has you sit down in a chair before Ed comes over to look at you. The knife is still in you. Ed looks to James "We need to pull it out." You grab a hold of the knife and yank it out of you. Ed and James both freak out as you scream from the pain. You drop the knife as James takes off his shirt and uses it to try to slow down the bleeding.

Ed immediately flies off with Maria to get medical supplies. James starts yelling at you "WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?! I could have done it!" You put your hand over his hand which is applying pressure "Because I wanted you shirtless." You laugh slightly at your own sentence as James rolls his eyes "I didn't think you became apart of my fan club." You mutter "Please, I'm not one of those desperate Freshmen." James raises an eyebrow "Really? Sure..."

You both laugh together as you try to ignore the pain. James moves closer to you to see you eye to eye. He has some sweat dripping down his face and onto his abs from the fight. You follow a trail of sweat that is running down his chest. He laughs as he sees where you're looking "Careful, you might actually start liking me." You roll your eyes "I don't hate you James. You can be a d!ck at times and yeah you deserve to go through some walls but I don't hate you." He sighs as he applies some more pressure. You wince a little as he does.

He looks to the wound before nodding "I'm sorry that I kinda left you high and dry after Ava took us." You raise an eyebrow "I think there's a few more things you need to apologize for but it's a start." James shakes his head as he rolls his eyes "Yeah, I'll get to those after we find Red Skull and I personal bash his head in." You nod, agreeing with him "You might need to get in line, I have first dibs for what he did to me." You look around before asking "Where is Ed? I'm going to bleed out by the time he gets back."

James shakes his head "You'll be fine. Not to say that I'm worried but I'm sure he'll get back soon." You both sit there in silence when James asks you after a few minutes "In France, did that kiss mean anything to you or was that a thing you picked up from my mom?" You don't say anything as you think of something snappy to say as he sighs. You glance over to him as he looks at the ground, frowning.

You say quietly "What if I said yes? What would you do?" He looks up at you quickly before smiling "Maybe give you another one?" He laughs it off before you look at him in the eyes, his face is inches from your face. His breath fans your skin when you say softly "Then...yes. It stuck with me." He closes the gap between you two by kissing you on the lips. You kiss him back as he moves his free hand to your neck. He moves you closer when Ed loudly coughs "Am I interrupting something?" James pulls away as he glares at Ed "Yes. Do you have the med kit?"

He pulls it out before going over to you. James moves the shirt off as Ed puts proper bandages over it. You think of the proper words to help you heal yourself when Maria comes back with a new shirt for James. He slides it on before she whispers something to Ed. Ed frowns immediately before asking you "Can You think of some sort of spell or something to fix this?" You nod before stating "You know I'm not a wizard Ed, right? But yes I think I can." You place your hand on your wound gently

"Kleansa kut." It starts to heal when Ed looks to James "We have to go after the kids." The wound is almost healed when you look at the knife that was used on you. You pick it up and clean your blood off it "It's Asgardian steal. The knife of one of the royal guards. So maybe I'm not mortal?" James looks over it before to you "I hope not for your sake."

Maria flies down in her suit when she pulls up a hologram map with red dots on them "The kids have a tracking implant in them. With all of the late drama, the parents agreed to put them in the kids. They're on the other side of town! We got to go after them! (Y/n) are you well enough to come with us?" You stand up "Yes..!" James tried to cut you off "No!" You guys start bickering back and forth when Ed yells "Gosh! Would guys stop yelling at each other like an old married couple?!" You both shut up.

You glare at James "I'm going. My wound is practically healed and plus there's too many kids for just the lot of you." James looks at you and sighs knowing that you're too stubborn to listen to him. He looks to Ed "We'll take the jet to allow (y/n) to save their energy. Let's go!" Ed looks to Maria as everyone runs up to the jets "Are you going to be ok?" She nods with a smile "I'll be fine Ed." She drifts to the back of the group to look at her wound. She pulls part of her armor off to look at her stomach.

A huge gash goes across her stomach with some black liquid moving around it. She whispers to herself "I hope I will be."
