Part 27: Team Ed or Team James?

"How could you say that?!" James yells at Ed. The two of them were in a heated argument, the usual. They had been at for an hour now but neither side was going to back down. So the endless argument continues "(y/n) likes me!" bickered Ed back. This small argument blossomed out of a simple question from Mr.Stark, were you dating Ed or James? A simple question which should've had a simple answer but was going to turn into a full brawl. James continues on yelling "(y/n) kissed me!"

Ed starts getting closer as he yells to prove his point "Which time? The time they were tortured or the time they used it as a distraction to get away from you?" James pulled out his hologram shield, causing the situation to head to another level. Ed opens his small case on the desk before letting his liquid armor form onto him.

As it starts to turn to armor, Ed puts out his final bit of argument "(y/n) has never liked you. You were a simple distraction. I was there when you left them broken. I was there after Ava nearly killed them! I was there when you left them with no explanation just a simple note that said: "Sorry, but I don't care." James throws his shield at him "That's not what it said!" He dodges out of the way at it sails past him. He returns it with a charge of his repulsors.

He doesn't give a warning shot, he goes directly for his head. James drops out of the way before flipping behind a table. As he lands, he realizes that his father left his shield against the table. Without a thought, he grabs it. There's a certain weight to it. One that he's unfamiliar with. He's held it before, but not in a fight. James hurtles it at Ed. It sails through the sky before completely missing him "Sh*t!"

It ricochets off the wall behind Ed before returning back at James. With his fast reflexes, he catches it. With the fight still continuing on, James had a very serious question "HOW DOES DAD DO IT?!"

As soon as it returns to him, Ed fires all his repulsors at him. They bounce off his shield, hitting different parts of the room. Black charcoal pieces of the building start to fall on them as they continue. James jumps up to punch Ed but is yanked backward by something extremely strong. He's thrown to the ground with the shield sliding with him to some familiar red leather boots.

He looks up to see a very angry Captain America "What are you guys doing?!" James jumps quickly to his feet as soon as Tony Stark flies in. He removes his helmet to reveal an even scarier face of rage. Both are silent. No snappy response or a funny joke. They knew they were in deep sh*t. Tony raises his voice, repeating "ANSWER THE QUESTION!" Ed burst first "I swear I didn't..." He cuts him off "Zip it! I don't want any excuses. We want answers!" James manages to speak up enough over the yelling "It was about...(y/n)."

Steve looks to his son "What about (y/n)? Are they hurt?" Both Ed and James shake their head. Ed speaks quietly "We were fighting over...over who should be with (y/n)." Tony gives a heavy sigh "You destroy part of the building over a LOVE INTEREST?!"

Ed immediately tries to reason with his burning father "Yeah it sounds dumb now but to us it was important!" Steve rubs his forehead. Of all things to happen today, he didn't think he would have to deal with this. Maybe with another hydra attack but definitely not this "Son, this isn't your choice to make. It's (y/n). I'm sure that whoever they end up with is very lucky. Now, will you not destroy anything else?!"

A small beep goes off on Ed. He turns away from the conversation to look into it. He pulls up a hologram from his suit to see your beacon "There's something wrong with (y/n). They just turned on their beacon." James looks over to him still heated from the fight "How do you know that?" Ed rolls his eyes "(y/n) trust me and asked me for a beacon for both of us in case something were to happen again. To prevent you from taking them again."

James gets in his face "You piece of sh...!" Steve holds him back "Stand down and stop acting like a hurt 2-year-old!" He turns to Ed "Where are they?" Ed looks at it "Central park?"

It's starting to get hard for me to write which side should win! Team Ed or team James
