A few minutes into the test Scarlet witch notices something is wrong. She's no longer in control of the dream. When she tries to bring you, Mark, and Ed out, nothing happens. She immediately calls for the Avengers to dismiss their classes. Tony practically sprinted into the office where you all were "How did this happen?!" Scarlet witch shakes her head "I don't know. Maybe someone else is causing this or..."
She trails off as your father enters "No it (y/n). Their magic is very powerful. They are learning new things that amaze me everyday but it is also growing out of control. The other night they turn half the palace to chocolate while they were dreaming." Tony looks over Ed "We got to get them out. But how?"
Your father adjusts his clothes by rolling up his sleeves "I can send someone into their dream." Tony immediately answers "Put me through!" Your father shakes his head "The person needs to have a emotional connection with (y/n)." James and Steve walk in. James looks over everyone "Put me through."
Your father stares him down "Definitely not my first choice but time is not on our side." James sits down in a chair in the middle of the circle before Loki starts using his magic. He tells James before sending him through "(y/n) has probably some sort of connection to this world that is keeping them there. You are going to probably have to kill that connection. Get out quickly. The longer you stay, the harder it will become to differentiate reality and the dream." Your father sends him in. James drifts into a deep sleep.
(Dreamworld)
Thanos has started his invasion on Midgard. You are all outnumbered but that isn't stopping you, Ed, and Mark from fighting. New York City is in ruins and everything is pretty much on fire. As you take on one of the children of Thanos, James rises from the debris. He looks around "Oh god...this is a nightmare."
He see you fighting and joins in by tackling him. You stop in your tracks "You are dead. Why is there so much resurrecting going on? I am not complaining, but this is getting confusing!" He knocks out Squidward before grabbing you "You need to wake up right now!" You look at him and point to Thanos "I am but we got to take him down before he destroys the rest of the world."
As you start to take off, he grabs you and yells at you "No! This is a dream! Wake up! Or I'm going to have to kill you or whatever is keeping you here." Your mother flies next you when James freezes "That's what's keep you here....Oh god, I'm so sorry (y/n)." He turns on his shield before go after your mother. He attempts to kill her but you throw him off her. He gets up quickly before yelling at you "Step aside (y/n)! I need to do this!" Mark comes in and hits him into a wall before holding him up
"Help us fight this war not each other!" James punches him in the face so hard it knocks him out. Mark hits the ground with James holding onto him. Ed starts blasts him with his repulsors. Ed misses him and hits your mother. She falls. You go to her side but she turns to dust. You cry until you gasp out in the real world. You look around and cry out "Mother! Where is she?! Mother!!!" Your father's heart breaks "Oh...no."
He immediately hugs you and pulls you into a hug as you cry "Where is she? She was here!" Your father says quietly "She is not here...she has been gone for a while now. I am so sorry. I wish she was here too. But that was a dream." You cry more as he holds you tighter "She was here...but James' went to kill her." You slowly come to realization "I did not get to say goodbye. I never did! That was my one chance!"
You look to Scarlet Witch "Put me through! Take me back there! Even if it is just a minute. Let me say goodbye, please." She becomes distressed by your request "I can't. You may not come back." You yell out "Please! She was real to me! We were a happy complete family. She was alive. She did not die by Thanos!" You cry harder as you beg. Ed grabs ahold of you and hugs you as you sob "I'm sorry (y/n)." You hug him back before James whispers to his father "I need to get out of here. I can't see them like this. What I saw over there...they might not recover for a while."
