After returning to school as usual you had a new student join your technology class. He sits down next to you. You immediately introduce yourself "So who are you?" He smiles "Mark Danvers." You raise an eyebrow "Like Carol Danvers? Captain Marvel?" He nods "Yeah, my sister is pretty famous." You enter further into the conversation "So what's your powers?"
He puts his hand under the desk and out of sight of Mr.Lang. It catches fire before quickly goes out "My superhero code name is Solar Flare." You show your powers. Your magic wraps itself around your hand. He questions "What was that?" You explain "My magic. I'm the child of Loki." He tilts his head slightly "Didn't he try to take over Earth once?"
You nod "That was decades ago. He's different now." He nods slowly "So you're a god?" You nod "And a princess/prince." He nods, impressed. The bell rings and you walk with him to continue the conversation. Mark walks down different halls until James comes from the opposite direction. You slow your walk while Mark speeds up to talk to James "James! What's up?" They slap each other on the back before James makes eye contact with you "Hey (y/n)."
You shake your head "Hey? What the hell James! You left after I got stabbed!" He nods slowly "Sorry." You start yelling at him "You're such a d!ck! I can't believe I saw something in you!" He shrugs "That's your fault." You huff angrily until Mark looks at you both "Are you guys like ex's?" You both answer at the same time "No." James pushes past you and down the hall. Mark looks to you "So I know we just met but do you mind filling me in on what just happened?"
(Time skip brought you by you trying to teach Drax metaphors.)
You enter gym and health. Mark had a different class so you sit with Ed. Black Widow explains "Today we're going to learn how to properly fight with your powers." You roll your eyes. You already know how to fight you tell yourself. Black Widow ask for volunteers. Everyone's hands shoot up except for you and James so of course, she chooses you both. You both go on a different side of the gym.
Black Widow talks to you privately "Don't kill him, just get him down." You nod. She goes to the center and blows a whistle. You transform into your fighting clothes. You let your magic show before you blast him. He rolls out of the way before getting up. You both meet in the middle.
He punches you in the side causing you to fly into a nearby wall. He's not holding back so you're not. You get up and go to punch him but he punches you in the face. You hit the ground. He goes to punch you again but you catch his fist. You let your magic go. Your eyes turn pure green before you start glowing. He says under his breath "Sh!t."
You blast him across the room before levitating after him. You punch him until you pull out a knife and go to stab him. He punches you in the side. You lose the knife from the force but you don't let this stop you. You grab him and punch him multiple times until he's knocked out. Ed starts yelling at you "He's done! Stop!" You don't. You're filled with rage at him. Ed throws himself between James and you "Stop!"
You stop your last punch and turn away still angry. The entire class is to their feet. Black Widow looks over James "He's not going to get up any time soon." Hawkeye goes after you but you teleport away and into the city. You huff until you turn around to see Mark eating a sandwich who freezes. You laugh "What are you doing here?" He finishes "Not dying of food poisoning from the cafe."
You laugh again "Are you skipping?" He shrugs "I mean no one has probably noticed so I think I'm good." He smiles to you "Want to go on a flight?" You shrug "My agenda is free now." He takes off his shirt to reveal his costume under it. He puts on his headgear before lending you his hand "Let's go!" You take his hand before he holds you bridal style and blasts off.
