I quickly grabbed the bottle and started walking away.

"Aria, wait!" She grabbed on to the hood of my jacket.

"Let go of me!" I pushed her arm away.
I turned around to face her, waiting for what she has to say.

"What do you want?" I asked, scowling.

"I just want to apologize." She said.
"For treating you so horribly in the past."

Are you serious?! I thought, getting angry.

"Apologize?! Really. My entire life all you've done was remind me how disappointing I am. That's how you treated me. Making me feel like a worthless piece of shit. But now, I'm 26 years old. I have a job. My own apartment. Hell, I can drink now. I think it's a little too late to apologize."

I started walking away again.

"Wait! I divorced your father."

I turned around slowly, trying to process what she said.

"You...did?"

"Yes. I want to make things right, Aria."

She walked up to me and held my hand that wasn't holding the cider.

"I want to be the mother I never was. A mother that will support you, in whatever decision you make. Please, Aria. Please give me a second chance."

I sighed.

What do I do... I thought.

"Do you have a place to stay?" I asked.

"Yes." She answered. "At a friend's house."

"We can talk tomorrow night." I said.

"That's thanksgiving." She said.

"Yup. If you want to make things right, do it then. Tomorrow at 5:30. I'll text you my address."

She wrapped her arms around me.

"Thank you."

I let her hug me.

I wasn't ready to hug back.

She let go, and walked away.

I really gotta head back to the office. I thought.

-

When I got back, I was greeted by a worried Wes.

"Where were you?!" Wes asked, taking the sparkling cider and ice cream tub.

"The supermarket...?" I answered.

He should know this.

"For almost an hour? All you needed to get was the cider and ice cream! I thought you got kidnapped!"

"Sorry, I was stopped by a lot fans." I lied.

"I don't believe you." Emma said, joining in on the conversation. "I bet you met someone."

"Emma!" I said, blushing.

"GASP! She's blushing!"

"What's going on?" Shayne asked, walking up to us.

"Aria's in love with a guy she met at the supermarket."

I facepalmed. "No, I'm not!"

"Then why'd you blush?" Wes asked.

"Wes! Okay, I'm going to go see what Boze's doing, your welcome for getting the food."

I walked away.
