Aria's P.O.V

As me, Jason, and my father walked down a seemingly endless staircase, I had an idea.

"Can I at least have my phone?"

"You know the obvious answer to that." My father said. "No."

"Why?" I asked. "We have a deal, remember? I'm the boss now."

He stopped, and sighed. "Remember, one false move."

He handed me my phone from his pocket. I took it, and continued following them downstairs.

I placed the phone in my pocket, for later.

Damien's P.O.V

I couldn't help but feel bad for Shayne.

He loves Aria.

Everyone knew that.

It must be tearing him apart each second he knew she was in the hands of the organization.

If I were Shayne, I would—

Shit.

I got up from the kitchen table, and started looking for Shayne.

"Shayne?"

The last place I looked was Aria's bedroom.

The window was open.

I rushed to the window, and looked outside.

He was climbing down the poles of each patio of the apartments below us.

I knew it. He was trying to escape.

To rescue Aria.

"SHAYNE!" I yelled. "STOP! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!"

At the point where he was, I wasn't sure how he was going to climb back up. He'd have to go in through the front door of the apartment, where an officer was guarding us.

He climbed onto the roof of a patio, then looked up at me.

"DAMIEN, I CAN'T SIT AROUND AND WAIT! I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!"

I was right.

I panicked. "THEY'RE SO CLOSE TO FINDING HER, SHAYNE! IT'S BEEN ONE NIGHT, AND THEY'VE MADE SO MUCH PROGRESS! PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS! IT'S NOT SAFE OUT THERE!"

Tears dropped from his eyes. "I'M SORRY, DAMIEN!"

He continued climbing down.

"I'm sorry too, Shayne." I said.

I rushed from Aria's room to the living room, then to the front door.

I opened it, then I was stopped.

"You're not going anywhere." The officer said.
