Chapter 21 – Natural

Tonight marks the start of their American Tour and everyone is in their respective green rooms, getting ready for the show. Airee sat in front of the mirror while she waited for the staff to wheel her wardrobe case into the room. She sighed when she realized that she will be getting ready alone later since Rola needed to fly back to Japan immediately for business reasons. Her head felt heavy since this morning and she didn't have the appetite to eat during lunch earlier, which earned herself a questionable look from her older friends. She brushed them off with a smile and told them that she ate three cups of pudding an hour before lunch and she was still feeling full, although the rest of them bought her lie- she knew Taka, Toru and especially Calum didn't.

A knock disrupted her thoughts and when she opened the door, she was greeted by one of the staff and a girl she didn't recognize with her wardrobe case behind them.

"Miss Fielberth, I have brought your wardrobe case and let me introduce to you Miss Kirihara Reiko, she's here to help you in Miss Rola's absence." the staff said as he wheeled in her case and Reiko bowed in respect.

"H-Hello." She blinked.

"I'll be in your care, Miss Fielberth." She said, her head still lowered.

"P-Please call me Airee, no need to be so formal." Airee said, scratching her head sheepishly.

"Shall we go get you ready?"

"Yep!"

Calum walked through the halls, thinking of grabbing a drink from the vending machine he saw by the entrance earlier. He blinked when he saw Airee, already crouching to grab the drink she brought. He noticed that she's already wearing her make-up and contact lenses for the show, but not her outfit, since she's still wearing a plaine white button up shirt and denim shorts, partnered with her indoor slippers.

"Hey." He called out, as he walked closer to her.

"Oh, hey, Cal. Not getting ready yet?" She raised her brow at him, shifting her eyes up and down.

"Checking me out, eh?" Calum winked at her playfully.

"Shut up." She glared and he put up his hands in surrender.

"What did you get?" He asked.

"It's just ginger tea, you know, for later." She smiled. "How about you? Are you going to get anything?" She asked, gesturing to the machine.

"Ah yeah." He walked to it and inserted his bill and pressed one of the many buttons, in which seconds later, a bottle of drink came out of the claiming slot. He twisted the cap open and gulped down the drink. And that was when he noticed that Airee was staring off into space.

"Hey..." He called to get her attention but failed.

"Airee?" He waved his hand in front of her face, and that was when she blinked and looked at him.

"Hm?"

"Are you okay? You've been out of it ever since this morning." He looked at her worriedly.

"I'm fine, Cal." She brushed him off with a smile and a wave of her hand.

"Are you sure?" He touched her hand and he gasped at the sudden heat he felt.
