Author's Note
1) Their relationship will progress, but you have to remember Sana's a few years older thus it's harder for her to open herself up to Dahyun like a friend
2) Thank you for your positive / reaction comments :) It means a lot more than you can imagine 😭

A week had passed, it was Friday again and this time, I was more excited.

We were travelling to the beach tomorrow instead of staying in the lecture hall.

Something different. Something that may just let me talk to Sana more.

I prepped up everything and wore a casual shirt they gave for free at the college with denim shorts.

Most people would wear the best they can to impress the person they like, but I somehow knew Sana didn't care.

I wore leggings and hoodies throughout the orientation and Sana didn't care. She liked me for who I was.

"Now, this isn't all fun and games, please do not forget that we are here to learn," The woman in charge told us.

"I have already grouped you all,"

I waited with Chaeyoung, silently hoping I would get grouped with Sana.

"Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Seokjin, Nayeon, you're in group one,"

"Mina, Dahyun, Momo, Jihyo, group two,"

The woman continued reading the names until there were six groups.

Sana? What about you?

We got into our groups, I glanced at Sana.

We made eye contact immediately.

Have you been staring at me too?

I silently giggled.

"Why don't you have a group?" I mouthed out to her.

She lifted up her camera with a smirk.

"I volunteered," She added on.

I nodded in return.

I didn't want to participate in the games, I wanted to follow Sana.

I wanted to follow her everywhere.

I saw her walk up towards me, probably to get some good shots of my team being active.

I wanted her attention.

My team started off with the basic games which I had zero interest in.

I was busy staring at Sana.

That was busy looking at my team through her camera lenses.

I was upset.

Jealousy? Attention deprived?

I don't know why, but I decided to just walk out of the circle.

I headed to the corner of the play zone, grabbing my water bottle from the stash of bags.

Sana's bag.

It was a navy blue tote bag.

Sana always had that quiet minimalistic style.

Personality as well.

She was the type of girl that wouldn't mind staying quiet the whole day listening to someone else talk.

Which was the complete opposite of what I was like, but something about that drew me to her more.

Something about that made me want to change and become like her just so we would have something in common.

She was intriguing that way.

"Dahyun?"

A smile already appeared on my face but she didn't notice.

I was looking down at my shoes, one hand still holding onto my water bottle.

I looked up.

"Sana?" I cheekily replied in the same tone.

She chuckled.

"Why are you here? You should participate,"

I shrugged.

She placed her hand on my shoulder and my whole body tensed up.

Butterflies.

"Tired I guess,"

But she wouldn't take that as an answer.

She reached for my arm and pulled onto it trying to get me to stand back up.

"No," I jokingly retorted.

"Come on Dahyun!" She grabbed onto my arm even more and I would be lying if I said I didn't love it.

I finally gave in and stood up, but I didn't want to participate, or at least... not just yet.

Not without spending a bit more time with her.

I went to the nearest bench and sat down.

I didn't bother looking back at her, I knew she was already following me from behind.

"Dahyun! Go participate!" I shook my head cheekily.

"Why can't we just sit here and watch them together," I heaved a sigh of disappointment.

"First of all, you're supposed to be joining them. Secondly, I still have lots of photos to take," She grabbed my arm yet again.

And then she let go.

Which left me quite disappointed.

"You can sit here and rest if you're that tired, but I have some photos to take," She said as she mimicked a scolding tone while raising her arm pretending to hit me.

How cute.

She walked off, back into the crowd of students.

Come back.

I sighed.

I stood up and walked nearer to the coastal area, where the sea could be seen clearly.

I sat on the rocky ground, close enough to get a good glimpse of the sea but far enough not to fall in.

I admired the view.

If only you could sit here and admire this with me.

"Dahyun! You're too close to the sea! It's dangerous!" I turned my head.

Sana Minatozaki came back, I smiled to myself.
