"Kim Dahyun!" This time, it wasn't Mina calling for Sana.
It was Chaeyoung that disrupted our moment.
I sighed. It was about time anyway. This wasn't a movie, this was real life.
I pretended not to hear, hoping she would go back into the crowd and leave Sana and I alone.
"Dahyun!" She was louder than before.
Now the crowd behind her started turning their heads to me.
Shit.
"Coming!" I smiled a little goodbye to Sana and rushed over to Chaeyoung before she could shout anymore.
"You didn't have to scream my name," I pointed out.
"I'm sorry, I called your name a few times but you couldn't seem to hear," She shrugged.
I must've gotten so lost in you.
"So, dinner?" She asked as she pointed to the nearest fast food restaurant.
"Sure," I smiled as we grabbed our bags from the stash.
"You're lucky you got away with not participating," She stated as she helped me pick my bag up.
"They'll probably question me tomorrow," I gave a joking frown as we walked to the small restaurant near us together.
We pushed the glass doors open together as the cold breeze blew our hair.
"Cooling," I mumbled in satisfaction as we looked for a seat.
--
Chaeyoung agreed to get the food.
I stared through the glass window.
Sana could be seen from a distance, here dark blue shirt with white stripes were standing out.
She was with Mina and Seokjin of course.
I watched her slowly walk, probably towards the same restaurant.
It was the only restaurant in this small area anyway.
Her walk was beautiful, each footstep was slightly directed at different directions like... a penguin.
Slightly like a penguin.
Her back would be slightly slouched, but it was cute.
Very cute.
I watched her walk closer and closer and quickly looked away before she could see me through the glass window.
I smirked the moment I heard the door open.
Sana was here.
I couldn't hear her speak, which wasn't a shocker.
Mina was probably telling one of her many stories again.
I stared from afar.
I didn't want them to notice me, just so I could watch Sana in peace without me worrying that she'll notice.
Yet I badly wanted her to smile at me again.
Like how she did a few minutes ago.
"Dahyun!"
Well now I didn't have a choice.
Facing Chaeyoung, I spotted Sana staring at me from the corner of my eye.
Chaeyoung signalled for me to pass her her wallet.
"You need to stop shouting my name," I rolled my eyes jokingly as I handed it to her.
I took a different route back.
A route that would let me walk pass Sana.
And after gathering the courage during my slow footsteps, I decided that I would say hi.
I looked up, making eye contact with her for a few seconds before I was right in front of her.
"Hello Sana," I gave the greeting a little tone.
Like we haven't met in awhile, as if we were old friends.
"Hi Dahyun," She chuckled at my greeting.
Sana laughed at everything and you would assume by now her laugh wouldn't mean as much to me.
It was the opposite.
The importance of it to me grew larger and larger.
Instead of something casual that comes out often, it has become a...
drug?
Every time we spoke my main goal would be to make her laugh.
An achievement I would need to unlock, and when she laughs I feel complete satisfaction and joy.
And when she is not with me, all I can think about are things to say to make her laugh the next time we meet.
I would always tell myself it's not weird, but I can feel myself going more and more insane everyday.
I'm just extremely attracted to you.
