Prophet Yusuf(As) part 6

Prophet refused to set Binyamin free.
Judah the eldest of the brothers was much worried and he told the others. Judah said he would not leave the land until his father's permission or until Binyamin is released. The brothers left enough money for Judah, who stayed at a tavern awaiting the fate of Binyamin. The prophet secretly arranged to watch over Judah's well being as well. The prophet was testing the sincerity of the brothers and he wanted to find if they would return for their brothers.

After many days of travel, the brothers reached Kanan. They said '' father your son has stolen.'' The old prophet was confused and he didn't understand what they meant. So he asked them to elaborate. The brothers told him everything. How they were given feast at the palace, how they got the grains, and how the king golden cup was found in Binyamin bag.

When the prophet heard this he knew that Allah(SWT) had hand in this he was made to suffer for Yusuf(As) before now Binyamin. He knew that Allah(SWT) was testing him. He then said Allah(SWT) will bring all of them back again. He said Allah(SWT) is all-knowing,all-wise. He found solace in his prayers and it strengthened his faith and patience as well. The prophet had wept for so many years for the loss of his beloved son Prophet Yusuf(As).  Now he wept for Binyamin as well. After weeping for so many years he lost his eyesight.

His son pleaded him not to destroy him this way. The prophet said ''he complained of his grief and sorrow. '' He then asked his son to go Egypt once again and not to give up hope. When they arrived in Egypt they took Judah and they went to meet Yusuf(As). They begged and pleaded to the prophet. By now sorrow and love rise up in the prophet. He could no longer bear to listen to the grief of his own brothers. He thought how long can he keep the truth from them. And how long can he go without seeing his father?

Then he told them'' do you know what you did to Yusuf(As) and his brother? When you were ignorant?'' Brothers knew this was a secret known only to themselves and Yusuf(As).  They asked him if he was there brother Yusuf? The prophet replied ''yes. Allah(SWT) always protect those who believe in him.'' Brother trembled in fear. But Yusuf(As) comforted them. They said ''we have done great sin'' prophet said ''may Allah(SWT) forgive you. He is merciful of the merciful''. The prophet then embraced his brother's and wept with joy. It was not possible for Yusuf(As) to leave Egypt as he had so many responsibilitiesy. He then gave his shirt to his brother and said put it over my father's head he would recover his sight. And bring all of there family.

The brothers agreed and left for kanan. As the caravan approach kanan Yaqoob(As) sensed the smell of Yusuf(As). He stood up all of a sudden and went towards the caravan. All were shocked to see Yaqoob(As) came out of the room. He cried he could smell Yusuf(As) in the air.

As the caravan arrived Binyamin placed the shirt in prophet eyes and his sights returned. It was a miracle. Brothers realised there mistake and asked forgiveness from there father and said him to ask forgiveness from Allah(SWT) for there action. And the prophet said ''he would asked forgiveness. Allah(SWT) is all forgiving and all merciful''

Then the old prophet left for Egypt to meet his son. Prophet Yusuf(As) welcome them with great joy. Then Yusuf(As) placed an old prophet on the throne and his happiness was no bounds. Then his father and all his brother prostrated before Yusuf(As). That was tbe dream that he saw when he was young. ( eleven stars the sun and the moon prostate in front of Yusuf(As)). Allah(SWT) had made this dream possible. The prophet then met the king to seek permission for his family to settle down in Egypt. The prophet was a great asset to the kingdom and the king was happy to agree. The great power and responsibility did not letthe prophet to forget Allah(SWT) all the time. The prophet did not wanted to die as a life of a king, he wanted to die as a slave to Allah(SWT) and be gathered around the righteous.

At the time of his death asked his brother to bury him beside his forefathers. So when he passed away he was mummified and placed in a coffin until a suitable time to be taken out of Egypt. It is said that he died at the age of 110.
