Polar opposite {Snowbarry}

Barry and Iris

When they walked into S.T.A.R labs Wally was there talking with Iris and Joe, he had grown his hair out on the top so it was sort of like a fade.

"Hey Wally!" Barry said grinning ear to ear as he walked in. Caitlin smiles a little as well " hey guys! I just got back in town, Jesse is supposed to be meeting me in a few days, so I figured I'd get in early" he laughs a little while hugging his adopted brother.

"Well it's great to see you, think you can stick around for a bit?" Caitlin asked then he hugged her gently and he pulls back "I don't know... maybe a month or so... it all depends on how it goes..." he bites his bottom lip and then iris let out a Small laugh "what are you planning?"

"Yeah what?" Joe said along with her both of them giving Wally a funny look. "Uh - haha.." he laughs nervously then he grins again "I'm gonna ask Jesse to get a place with me" they all exclaim excitedly except iris who just kind of stares at him silently.

"I'm proud of you man! That's a really big step to take for a relationship... and I think Jesse will say yes to that" Barry pats him on the shoulder and he squeezes it while speaking.

"Wally, are you sure you're ready for that? Moving in together is a really big deal.." Iris said slowly then he stops smiling a little and he looked to her

"Okay I know you're supposed to hate all my girlfriends Because of the big sister code or whatever, but.. I really like Jesse... I love her actually and I'm ready to be with her... besides you can't be talking you married Barry after dating him for half a year"

Joe exclaims surprised and iris scoffs then Barry and Caitlin exchanged a quiet look.

"That's because Barry and I have known each other since childhood and we both hid our feelings for forever... what he and I have is completely different" she crosses her arms standing up now and Wally shakes his head.

"How? Because you're Barry and iris? Because you'll survive anything?" He was using a more sarcastic tone as he spoke now.

"Well... when you say it like that..." she mumbles and Wally laughs disapprovingly.

"Hey now, today is supposed to be a good day, let's not argue guys" Joe intervenes and Barry nods a little in agreement before rubbing Wally's back.

"Why is it that whenever I'm happy you always have to try and take it away or fix me? Barry is the only one in this family who supports me no matter what..."

Iris shakes her head again " Wally that's not true at all, I support your love for cars and you being a speedster and helping people!"

" Barry was the one who helped me control my speed... you and dad just wanted to do tests on me and get rid of it, Barry helped me out with my research papers for months... you know what- I don't need this negative energy right now.. I need to see my girl" he pats Barry on the shoulder then he sped out of the room without another word.

Iris sighs deeply through her nose and Joe shakes his head a little " someone should go talk to him..."

"I'll go. It was my fault and- and I should apologize.." She starts to walk out but Barry stops her and he shakes his head "a talk isn't gonna fix this right now just let him be alone okay?" Iris looks up into his eyes then she nods and pulls him down into a hug.

" I love you.." she mumbles and he looked to Caitlin quietly. They kept eye contact as he swayed with her gently " I love you too..." he whispers.

Caitlin swallowed silently then she waves at Joe and walks out of the room " I'm gonna head home I'll see you Guys tomorrow"

"Bye Caitlin" Joe said getting up from the chair as well to leave out " alright guys, I gotta go check in at the precinct, my phone keeps going off"

"Bye dad.." Iris said as he walked out then she lets Barry go and she smiles slowly " sooooo you wanna head home and be alone together...?" He looks down at her his eye brows in a bushy knot. "Yeah.. yeah okay" he wraps an arm around her neck while she lead the way out of the cortex.
