(Two quick things, one this chapter is about to be long as hell and this night has also been long as hell and TWO I just watched what happened to Monday and that shit was FIRE)
"We won't be doing anything" Barry said with a sharp sigh then he rolls onto his side and stares at the wall.
"Barry, we have to do something! We can't just let this go- people will start to come for you. They don't like being caught by the flash..." he groans annoyed then he covers his ears with the pillow "can we go to sleep?" He mumbles and she scoffs
"Barry Allen!" She said louder then she leans onto him pulling at he pillow he groans once more "you can't just clock in and out of being a superhero, we have responsibilities and there are things you cannot reveal to the world, for one your secret identity-"
"What if I want to clock out?"
She stops talking and she furrows her brow " what- what do you mean?" He sat up slowly looking at her eyes seriously. "What if I want a break from all the drama and the problems? Just me and you somewhere far away from the city..."
He gently moves a hand to touch her cheek "Barry.." she whispers and she turns away from his touch.
With a small smile he nods " just think about it... please?" She hesitates then she nods slowly "I'll think about it.."
"Good..." he whispers before rolling back onto his side and closing his eyes...
"You can trust me..." a raspy voice whispers in the darkness
"I won't lie to you again, I promise..." it whispers again
The darkness slowly faded into a picture.
Outside
trees
the sun
The sky
His vision blurred slowly and his ears tuned in more.
Heavy breathing
his heart beat thumping in his chest.
Thunk thunk
Thunk thunk
His vision cleared for a second and he looks down the length of his arm to find a gun
"EVERYONE ALWAYS LIES TO ME!" The painful voice cried.
Was that him?
He sounded so... broken
"Not anymore... no more lies..." he heard the gentle click of the safety being taken off the gun.
His eyes slowly found the person it was pointed at.
Caitlin
She shakes her head slowly "Barry that is NOT true-"
He heard the thundering roar of the gun being fired then a ricochet Off a metal object somewhere and a quiet gasp.
His eyes focused on the dark blood pooling from her shirt, her body becoming weak in the blink of his eye.
Suddenly she was laying her head in his lap, breathing shallowly, he hadn't even moved.
" I don't wanna die..." she whispers raspingly.
"Please don't let me die..." she whispers again her eyes locking with his.
"Caitlin Wait... don't go..." he sobs out as the blue of her iris turns into a dark murky brown, then bloodshot red until it finally goes pitch black to match her pupil.
