"Look as much as I love Cisco... and as fucked up as it is that someone did this to him... we can't just run head into danger to get revenge..."

Barry put his hands out as she stepped closer breaking the space between them and though she was at least a foot shorter then him he was slightly intimidated "why not?"

"Because... unless you wanna end up like Cisco..." she clenched her jaw and looked away from him. "Whoever this person is... has poison.... and is stabbing these metas... we need to be careful and we need watch our backs..." Cynthia sighs heavily and then he looks at Caitlin.

"all of us..." she nods a little then she crossed her arms" Cait, can you see if you can alter up a cure for this poison using some blood samples I have?" She gave a short nod then she walked off into the test lab.

He rubs his forehead slowly then he shakes his head a little "Alright... I am going back to the hospital to see if I can get anything else and then I'm heading to CCPD..." he glanced at Caitlin before speeding out of the cortex.

After a quick visit at the hospital getting samples he sped to the CCPD. Almost immediately as he got out of the elevator captain Singh and Joe were heading to him. "Allen! Tell Ramon to pick up his damn phone!"

Barry nods a little then he felt like a hot knife had stabbed him in his chest. He shakes his head slowly while crouching down into a sob. Singh looks to Joe then to Barry and he lowered as well.

"Barry? What happened?" He shook his head feeling Joe rubbing his back. He tried to speak but all that came out were broken sobs and air.

"I tried to save him.... Joe I tried so hard..." he grips his adoptive fathers arms while looking at his captain snotty nosed and tear stained cheeks.

" Joe I can't..." his voice broke off again and then he laid his head into his neck gripping his back now. "Shhh... son it's okay... just tell me what happened"

"Cisco..." his said and then he pulled back a little shaking his head again "the- the Same person who killed our meta.... Cisco never saw it coming...." he gasped softly to catch his breath then he shook his head once more looking to his captain now "I- I couldn't save him- I'm... I'm so sorry"

Joe pulled Barry back into a hug his face having a silent look of shock on it. " you.. you mean Ramon is..." Joe looks at Singh slowly then he just hugged Barry.

Back at the lab...

Cynthia stood behind Caitlin as she worked on a antidote for the poison. Caitlin glances at her sideways then she clears her throat putting it into the spin chamber " could you please stop hovering? I'd like to be alone right now..." Cynthia took a step back then she crossed her arms firmly.

" well I'm sorry but I don't want to be alone..." Caitlin felt her heart sink in her chest. She glances at Cynthia then she stood up and faced her fully her blue eyes darting over Cynthia's face quietly.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" The woman whispers.

Caitlin shakes her head once then she looked down her dark brows furrowing in concentration " I'm sorry..." she looked back up to see Cynthia looking anywhere but at Caitlin. Fresh wounds.

"I know how much you guys loved each other..." Cynthia gave a simple smile " he loved you too.."

Caitlin couldn't help but smile at that. She and Cisco has always had a strong bond, her being an only child she always wanted a brother or sister to look over and take care of. With Cisco they were each other's family, then she met Ronnie and he never really loved Cisco and Caitlin's random sleepovers so their relationship suffered.

Barry is different. He loves Cisco too.

Everyone loves Cisco.

She's torn from her thoughts as they heard the familiar clicking of someone's high heels. Iris great.

Cynthia looks to the door then she walks out of the small room along with Caitlin "have you guys seen what's on the news? Somebody is killing meta humans. Where's Barry? I want to see if he has any info on the cases yet and-" she stops talking then she looks around the room suspiciously.

"It's very quiet... and tense..." Cynthia glances at iris annoyed.

" where's Cisco?" Cynthia practically lunged for her, throwing iris into the wall and pining her by her neck. Caitlin gasped and she speed walked over " whAT ARE YOU DOING!" Cynthia didn't respond while Iris choked quietly.

" she doesn't know what happened- let her go!" Cynthia glanced to Caitlin then she stepped closer to iris who was completely confused "god- Cynthia! She's very little and you're hurting her!" Caitlin yelled now and Cynthia let her go and took a step back.

Iris coughs loudly a hand moving to hold her throat " sorry?" She said hoarsely.

" shut the hell up before I break your arm..." Cynthia walks out of the cortex and Caitlin sighed anxiously. " what's up with her?" Iris mouthed while trying to soothe her aching throat still.

"Umm.. Cisco... he was attacked and.. his.. his heart stopped from the poison" Caitlin gulped looking at the entrance to the cortex where Cynthia was pacing back and forth.

" oh.... no... Caitlin... oh my god..." Iris steps forward pulling Caitlin into a tight hug. She couldn't help but sigh a breath of relief from this simple comfort.

"I miss him already..." she whispers and Iris nodded in agreement.

"What are we going to do?" Caitlin pulls back then she took a step towards her lab and continued "Barry is looking for clues in the case files so we are going to try and make a cure for this poison so nobody else has to loose their family."

Iris crossed her arms while following her hesitantly " or their boyfriend..." she motions to the hallway then Caitlin continued working.
