A few days later....

"Hey Cisco?" He looks up from his computer to Caitlin as she walked into the cortex fidgeting nervously with her hands. "Yeah what is it?" He paused the cat video he had been watching and she sat down in the rolling chair across from him.

" I feel like I'm making a big mistake...I- I have feelings for someone and instead of confronting him and being honest, I'm hiding and avoiding him at all costs" Cisco crosses his arms leaning back in his chair slowly "who is it?"

" i... I am refusing to say... for now" he tilts his head a little then he nods some "Okay are you scared that he might reject you if he knows that you want to be with him?"

She nods quickly "I know without a doubt that he would. He's..." She paused trying to figure out how to word it without giving herself away "he's in a relationship already with a very controlling and narcissistic woman..."

"Hey guys, what are you talking about?" Iris asked as she walked into the room. Caitlin turns the chair so it had the back facing iris then she rolls her eyes dramatically.

Cisco waves her off and he leans his elbows on his knees "Okay here's what you do to see if he's into you. Wear a shirt that kind of shows off the girls and then spill a little water on them and see how he reacts, guys go crazy over stuff like that"

Caitlin blushed just thinking about it then she nods a little "and by girls you mean my..." Cisco nods looking away from her and covering his eyes "yes- yeah, I mean those now put them away"

She laughs a little and glanced toward iris who was staring at them confused "Caitlin you have a little crush?" Cisco shrugs some "she wants him bad" he whispers.

Caitlin raised her eyebrows feeling a little embarrassed " I never said that I wanted him bad I just said I liked him and wanted to be with him.. romantically"

"Ohhh Okay Okay, so here's what you do. You get him alone and then you touch his thigh whenever possible or make sure you shake a little something when you walk" as much as she hated to admit it iris actually gave solid advice when it came to men.

To bad she didn't know Caitlin was after her husband or else she'd have a completely different tune.

Barry had his hands in his pockets as he walked into the room " hey iris... Cisco, Cait" she felt her cheeks flush lightly at his nickname then she gave a small smile before looking at the computer to avoid eye contact. "Babe... Caitlin has a crush on someone" iris said in a singing voice.

Barry raises his eyebrows shocked and he looks to her "oooh do we know him? "Barry grins at her while her cheeks went an even darker pink "I.. I need to take a walk..."

"Oh that's gonna have to wait- meta human alert app is off the charts..." his voice trailed off while he stared at the computer.

"Cisco what type of Meta is it?" Barry asked then he sped his suit on and looks to Caitlin.

"It's the burning man..."she stared at the screen then she nods shortly then she clears her throat "lets go take down a doppelgänger"

Killer frost took over seconds after that and Barry sighs through his nose figuring he would talk to her about this later.

He takes her arm and sped her out of the cortex to down town, Big Belly Burger where the meta was seen.

"You see anything?" Killer frost asks when they stopped. "So far no" he responds.

"That's because I'm up here" a very familiar voice called, they both looked up and then firestorm- Ronnie's face dropped before he grins widely

"there she is! I've been wondering where you were, Caitlin" he drops down to the ground and then Barry put an arm out to keep her back.

"You should go back to your earth before we make you go back" Ronnie looks to Barry tilting his head then he scoffs lightly.

"listen red... I haven't seen my girl in months Okay? Reverb told me she came here after that thing with zoom so I had to see her, I don't want any trouble"

Killer frost looks at Barry confused and then he shakes his head "you're Lying! Zoom killed earth two firestorm!" He steps closer glaring at him now.

"Well then it's a good thing I'm not dead" Ronnie said in a taunting voice. "Come on Caitlin, lets get out of here" he stuck a hand out looking to her.

Her eyes went from Barry and then back to Ronnie and then back to Barry and she shakes her head "I can't leave...."

Barry felt immense pride hearing that then Ronnie scoffed and crossed his arms "why not?" He sounded hurt, she was hurt as well so I guess they were even now. "This is my home, they are my family" she motions to Barry who gave her a small nod .

"Don't you even want me? Don't you miss me?" He walks closer to her slowly he flames on his head extinguishing along with his hands. Barry kept a close eye on him even when he touched her cheek gently.

Killer frost stares up into his eyes then she closed hers for a second her hair melting into its dark brown and she opens her eyes. "Ronnie..." she said shaking her head softly.

"Caitlin...." his thumb caresses her cheek then lifts it slightly to make her look back at him. "Can I stay and prove my worth?" He whispers in that raspy voice her Ronnie always used to get his way.

She sighs deeply through her nose. This was not her Ronnie. This was not earth two Ronnie so who the hell was this?

"No, you're going into the pipeline where you can never hurt anyone again" Barry practically growls and Caitlin shot him a threatening look.

"No he's not. He's gonna stay with me" Ronnie smiles slowly then he looked to Barry and gave a short shrug "don't worry, I'll be good" Ronnie winks at Barry and then the flames in his hands reignited "where we headed to?" He asked her and she smiles awkwardly wrapping her arms around his neck.

" see you back at the lab?" Caitlin asked Barry and he gave a short defeated nod, then he watched them fly off into the distance.
