The familiar

When Barry and Mon-El got outside the building, they took in the sight of the initial damage. Destroyed cars, people screaming, the constant black of smoke filling the air, Kara was currently putting out a few wildfires and Cisco and Wally we're walking the evil Caitlin's to the DEOs secret base.

Caitlin ran over to them after putting out a fire, her hair was a mess and she looked like a warrior from how many bruises and new bloody marks she had. "You look terrible" Barry said before giving a soft laugh.

She smiles relieved he still had his humor then he sat on the sidewalk groaning once "you should see the other me"

he shakes his head not wanting to see any other Caitlin's but his own, he looks her in the eyes in that stupid grin "I'm just glad you're okay..." she let a small smile crack at the corner of her lips then her hand cupped his cheek and she kissed him once.

she looks at his face "please tell me it's over..." Barry shakes his head slowly "not even close"

He wipes the blood off her bottom lip and she chuckles and wraps her arms around him for a hug.

"Can we just go back to our earth and sleep for ever?" Barry hugs her waist gently and he shakes his head "I have other things besides sleep that I wanna do" he turns so his lips kissed her neck twice then she shivers once and pulls back to look at him.

She crossed her arms firmly over her chest. He chuckles at the badass exterior while also being quite adorable she had going on.

Their momentary cuddling was halted with Cisco's alarmed yelling.

Barry shot up from his place on the steps then he grunts immediately regretting it.

"Cisco talk to me, what's going on?" Caitlin said then she pressed the ear piece again.

"The- the clones!" He yells frantically then Barry and Caitlin turned their attention to the sight of Wally and Cisco speeding in from the alleyway.

"What's wrong with them-" Barry asked then his question was answered with a large gust of wind rushing through the air. The immediate expectancy was ice and cold but they got heat and fire.

"Barry!" Caitlin yells over the now panicked screams again.

"I got this!" He yells back then he looks up into the air, Kara nods once and she flew towards the forming tornado.

Caitlin helped guide people away from the strong winds as best as she could.

"What is this?" Kara said loudly, the worry was clear in her voice, Barry could tell.

"I don't know..." he said and he stops, just staring at the scene wide eyed. The three of them were huddled together, their hands interlocked in a triangle.

They were in the midst of the trouble.

Mon-El put his hands out as Kara tried to fly towards it "Supergirl don't- we don't know whats going to happen.." she lets her eyes linger on them then she looks to her husband again "then what do you suggest we do?"

The three were silent for a few more seconds then Barry heard Lenas voice over the comms.

"Please tell me you're seeing it" he heard quick tapping on a plastic keyboard so he assumed she was somewhere safe "yes, can you tell us what's happening?"

"You need to get them out of there" a coldly Familiar voice said. Lillian.

Barry's whole body went rigid with hate, and resentment.

"Why? What's going to happen?" He begrudgingly responds to the woman solely responsible for the kidnapping of his fiancé.

"It's gonna blow if you don't. I- I miscalculated while I was making them... they're unstable." She paused letting the words sink in and then she spoke once more "it'll kill everyone"

Barry looks to Kara and mon-el again and they nod. They had heard the news as well. He looks to his left where Caitlin stood guiding people out of the buildings still then he sighs shortly "how long do we have before she goes critical?"

No response.

He clenched his fists tightly

"I don't know..." Lena whispers into the comms and then Barry took a shaky inhale. He looked around at the broken park.

Cars flipped over, a destroyed water fountain, not to mention the buildings. Glass windows destroyed, people laying dead and forgotten.

All because some stubborn old woman was afraid of change. This boiled his blood more deeply then anything Lexi had ever done.

"you ruined everything!" He said slowly, it was directed towards Lillian.

No response.

Barry took another deep breath then he looks towards the sky, a rippling blue, beautiful sky. The hot, fiery flames shot up and his Déjà vu hit violently.

Six years ago.

His first crisis.

The death of firestorm.

The infamous wormhole.

He knew there was no way he could save everyone. There was no reset button.

Kara's world was suffering because of something Caitlin couldn't control.

He sped over to Caitlin freezing them in flashtime.

She exhales deeply feeling the surge of energy then she looks around and back to his face "Barry?" She said confused.

"What- Wait... is that.." she stares up at the sky and Barry cups her cheek gently "don't look at that. Look at me" she opens her mouth to speak and he shakes his head again. "Caitlin.. I'm gonna fix this okay?"

She stares at him, her brown eyes wide with fear. Her hair had strands of white hair, vanishing and reappearing over and over.

He rubs her cheek with his thumb gently "Caitlin... I wish I knew how much I loved you from the first time I took you into flashtime.." she shakes her head quickly, her hand gripping his wrist.

"Barry..." was all she could whisper out.

"I have to do it Cait..." he whispers and she shakes her head.

"Please don't go..." her voice whispers, tears threatening to overtake her once more. All they seemed to do was say goodbye now.

"You're going to die, Barry" she tries to reason and he gave a weak smile before letting his lips lock with hers in a gentle kiss.

He could feel her tears falling into the kiss, the salty wet, all to familiar kiss.

"Some people are worth dying for.."

He lets her go with one last smile then he sped off down the street and up the building.
