Trouble

The next morning...

"I didn't hear you come back last night..." Caitlin said as she exited the bedroom slowly, she wore her night attire, some plain white shorts and a white shirt.

Barry was standing over the counter in some jeans and a Floral button up shirt that wasn't closed fully "I... I was out running most of the night, thinking" his voice was soft but she felt like it had a hidden meaning behind it.

She nods quietly then she sat at the table "so um..." she starts in a quiet voice "I made you pancakes, bacon and eggs... I was going to make orange juice but I couldn't find a local market ..." he sets one of the plates down in front of her which was loaded with food.

"Uh.. b-Barry?" He hands her a fork then a napkin and he sat down waiting quietly with a patient look on his face.

" Barry... what are you doing?" She slowly sits the fork down and then he shrugs a little moving his hand to pick at the scruff sprouting from his cheeks and chin "I'm just trying to help..."

"Look about last night...-" She starts again but he cut her off "Caitlin, you're having my baby...." The upper corner of his lips lift in a light smile then she gave a small nod then she opens her mouth to speak again and he shushes her.

"this vacation is about you and me..and him too apparently..." he gave a nervous laugh while she smiles, he continued "just relax and let your fiancé worry about the police and when your next meal is...okay?"

She tilts her head to the left in defeat then she picks the fork up and she starts eating quietly " I'm gonna go find you some clothes and we can go out exploring" he stood and Speed walked to the bedroom. She watched him leave a worried look on her face.

They eventually needed to talk about what happened, they almost broke up... she's pregnant, the police.

But he simply was choosing to focus on the child... oh shit she forgot to call Stephanie. "Barry, could you bring my phone please?" She calls out loud then she heard a quick whoosh and her phone was laying on the table face up.

She picks it up and then she clicks on the contact and held it to her ear. She nervously picks her thumb nail then she heard the familiar click "hello?" Stephanie said tiredly.

"Hey! Is Maddie up yet?" Caitlin asked then she chews her thumb anxiously "uhh, I don't think so.. but I can go wake her up and-"

"No... no just tell her that.... I love her, okay?" Caitlin smiles warmly at the thought then she heard Stef give a short laugh "sure... I'll send you some pictures today..."

"Thank you so much-" Caitlin continues but Stephanie gasped "isn't that handsome boyfriend of yours the flash?" Caitlin groans silently and though Stef couldn't see she rolls her eyes "yes.. he is in fact.."

"Oh my gosh.. you must be SO lucky... I hope you don't mind me asking but... does he ever... you know, put a little more effort into pleasure time?"

Caitlin furrowed her eyebrows then she slowly hung up the Phone and turned to eat her food but Barry was walking back into the room, holding a simple blue shirt and some shorts "is this okay?" He asked and she nods looking over the clothes.

"Those will suffice" he smiles once then he set them down on the chair and sat across from her at the table.

She sighs softly through her nose then she continues eating her eggs and bacon.

"Does the morning sickness get to you?" He curiously asked and she blushed a little before nodding "it's hit me twice so far..." Caitlin mumbles with a mouthful.

"I'm sorry" he said with scrunched eyebrows.

"Well, a little throw up is nothing compared to this lifetime of joy.." she moves a hand to her stomach and Barry smiles widely again. "Very true..." his smile fades slowly then he clears his throat looking at the cloth.

"So... about Madeline..." Caitlin stops chewing for a second then she looks at his face.

"Now that everyone knows that she's your daughter..." he paused and rubs his chin stubble "are you gonna bring her home with us?" He looks at her softly for a few moments and then she gulps the wad of food.

"Do you want me to?" She set the fork down and then he props on his elbows "do you want to? I mean.. she's your daughter... it's your call honestly.."

"Yes but you live with me... and I didn't exactly ask your permission when Amanda started rooming with us and her son" Caitlin gave a short exhale and he touched her arm gently "your friend needed a place to stay and you gave her somewhere she would be warm and safe... you don't need permission for that, Cait"

She smiles a little then she leans forward kissing him softly. He smiles against her lips, letting her hand grip his neck lightly "that is one of the reasons I love you..." Barry whispers as she pulls back.

She gave another small laugh then she nods "I will talk to Stephanie about moving to central city so I can see her everyday after work.." he nods a little then he kisses her again.

Her fingers slowly ran into the back of his hair, kissing him again.
