Chapter Three
"Theodora? What a pretty name," whilst sitting on the stairs, the small girl peered at one of the boys who had saved her life. He ruffled a hand through his hair and looked back at her."My names Ben," he chuckled lightly sitting next to her as she nodded.
"Benjamin?"
"Ben," he corrected as she nodded. She clasped her hands together as he watched her.
"Is there a reason you're here?" He asked as she stiffened.
"Pogo said Mr. Hargreeve's would love for me to stay here," she shrugged. She didn't want to mention how she was always on the street left for dead. Constantly freezing each night. She had also failed to mention that her hands sparkled like the Fourth of July when she wanted to do something.
"Pogo is being really nice, dad barley lets us have friends over," Ben shrugged, "were each other's friend."
"At least you have your brothers and sisters," she shrugged.
"You don't have any siblings?"
"Mom never got around to having two, I don't even know how she survived with me."
"Never got around— is your mother dead?"
"Been for a couple of years now, why?"
"Follow me," he said grabbing the collar of her shirt and pulling her to a room with the rest of the group. They stood their, all ceasing to say anything as she came in. Her arms stiffened as she glanced at all of them. All of the other five stood in the middle of the room, terrifyingly. She gulped and looked to Ben.
"Everyone, this is Theodora," he introduced her as the team stared at her.
"Theodora, this is Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, and five."
"Five— don't you have a name?"
"Five is my name," he hissed as she lowered her eyebrows. Glancing to the nearest doorway, she tried to back out as the team continued their glances.
"Right."
"She's the girl that came in last night," Luther said letting out a laugh and walking to the girl to hold out his hand. Timidly, she took his hand and shook it.
