Chapter Twenty-One
The car made its way down a little road as Hex took her last swing of the whiskey and groaned. She sat up and sniffled looking to Five.
"So—is he home? It would be kind of awkward if he wasn't— considering we have to take him down."
Five groaned.
"But how's Vanya going to feel? Should we really kill him if he makes Vanya happy?"
"She sounds like Klaus," Diego muttered to himself as Hex smirked and pat his head.
"Or he sounds like me," she chuckled lightly as she let out a hiccup. The car came to a halt as she stiffened.
"Well then! Time to get going," she said giddily opening the door and walking up to the door but stopping.
"Wait— why are we here again?"
"Be careful, okay? We don't know what Peabody's capable of," Allison warned.
"Yeah, he didn't seem dangerous when I first saw him.
Looked kinda scrawny," he said walking to Hex and grabbing her away from the door."Yeah, well, so are most serial killers and mass murderers," Allison said looking to Five and to Hex. "I mean, look at them."
"Thanks." Five muttered as Hex giggled.
"I'm a murderer!" She laughed as Allison rolled her eyes.
"You're a light weight," Diego cursed under his breath as he picked her up. She groaned.
"Good point, Allison," Diego sighed as Hex wiggled and tired to get out of Diego's arms.
"I want down!"
"Not until you can walk straight," Diego cursed.
"But I can!" She whined.
"Prove it," he placed her on the ground as she took a step forward and looked to her hand as she floated to the roof.
"Get down from there!" Five hissed at her as she shrugged and walked along the gutter.
"Nah!" She called as she continued walking. Five cursed under his breath as he walked to the front porch with Diego.
"So what's this guy want with Vanya?" Diego walked to the door and held out his arm to stop Five as Hex walked to the top of the roof and looked to the chimney. It was big enough for her to fit in. She straddled the chimney and fell through covering herself with soot. She shook her head and went to stand up, hitting her head on the mantle as she screamed.
