Chapter Fifteen
"We're only here another night," Cha Cha said, putting Hex in the corner of the room before tying her to the chair. Hex let out a soft moan."Well, that's easy for you to say," Hazel hissed. "I've been in every pawn shop all over town, lookin' for our breifcase-"
"Why not just ask her?" Cha Cha gestured to Hex who still sat there out.
"I was until you knocked her out, I was getting information-"
"Rather than actually doing your job," she said as she walked over to Hex and extended her arm to wack it right into her face. "Wakey Wakey!"
She winced and looked around, noticing she was in the presence of the two idiots that had killed Patch, tortured Klaus, and were hunting down Five. She looked to the both of them and went to lunge as Cha Cha let out a harsh laugh.
"Why am I here?" She hissed looking to Hazel who folded his arms and went to look out the window.
"Your buddy went back in time, and by the looks of it, you joined him-- or recently decided that the seventies hairstyle is the new you," she mocked as Hex clinched her fists. "Where is the briefcase?"
"Gone," she rose a brow.
"Gone?" She paused, looking to Hazel, "what does she mean gone?"
"Poof," he said quoting Hex as she laughed softly sitting back in her seat. She could use this to her advantage.
"And my accomplice has promised that the both of you will never see it ever again."
"Well, how about Number Five?" Cha Cha said holding up Vanya's book as Hex stiffened. "He can time travel without a case, can't he?"
"Not denying it, not confirming it," she shrugged as Cha Cha inhaled deep.
"Now look here you-"
"What about you?" Hazel said softly, "what are the power's you have?"
"I don't see why that is-"
"Just let her answer the damn question, Cha Cha," Hazel grunted, "plus- aren't you a little curious?"
She looked to the book and folded her arms. She sighed and sat at the end of the bed looking at Hex as Hex shook her head.
"It wasn't in the book, any of you-- at all. Why?"
"The Hargreeves and I-- we have a-- dark history," she sighed, "I did something I shouldn't have done."
"So bad that this girl didn't want to write about you?"
"Well, I like to think of it as-- I'm not her sister, so why would she write about me? The dad had no use for me, so why would I?"
"We're getting off track," Cha Cha hissed. "What powers do you have?"
