Chapter Twenty-Three
Hex lied beside Klaus resting her head on his arm as she held him close. This is the most at home she had felt in a while. She heard him groan as he tried to cast on the needles in his hands as Hex laughed. He was learning to knit and she found it hilarious that he was trying to find new ways to get over the drugs other than her.
"Let me try," she said taking the needles and starting a row for him, proceeding to the next as she handed it back. "You just have to hold the slip knot and-"
"You realize I don't know what any of that is, right?"
"Then how's about you not pick up knitting," she shrugged placing it to the side, "there's painting-"
"We have enough abstract art-"
"Uhm, you could try baking?" Realizing this had to do with fire she shook her head, "never mind."
"Puzzles?"
"Boring!"
"Bird watching?"
"No."
"Playing an instrument?"
"That's more Vanya's thing," he shrugged as Hex groaned.
"Shit," she hissed sitting up, "Vanya."
"What about her?" He asked.
"Her boyfriend apparently is the cause of the apocalypse," she sighed, "I met Leonard—he-he called me Hex— Unless he actually liked us as kids— I don't think Vanya liked calling me Hex. I never heard her say it once."
"Don't worry about it, I'm sure she's fine-"
"Klaus, she's not fine if she's with Leonard, who knows how he effects the apocalypse— what's to say he doesn't kill her?"
Footsteps approached the door as Klaus grabbed her hand and kissed it.
"If it makes you feel any better, we can go find Vanya."
"I would appreciate it," she said as the door opened.
"Hey! Get up, we're going!"
"Where?" Klaus yawned as Hex rolled her eyes and sat up. She ran a hand through her hair and quickly pulled a pair of jeans on under her oversized shirt.
"To save the world." Five said as Hex looked to him and shook her head.
"Oh, is that all? Great." Klaus grunted and got up quickly putting a shirt on and his vest. Hex quickly ruffled her hair as she let out a yawn.
"So, Pogo said Dad killed himself to get us all back together, right?" Five limped to the window, Hex sighed and flicked her wrist to try and heal a little of his pain as he looked to her. Nodding at her a thanks as she shrugged at him.
