Chapter Twenty-Seven
There was a knock at the door as Hex grunted. The door opened as she lied her head off the end. Klaus walked beside her and lied down.
"You want to talk about it?"
"Talk about what?" She sighed, "everyone knows now that Vanya has these powers-"
"But you knew—"
"I-I kind of lied," she sighed looking to him. "I wasn't knocked out— Vanya trapped me— for my safety— and hers."
"And you didn't tell us?"
"I didn't think it was right of me to do it," she shook her head, "y-your sister— she had a right to tell you all!"
"So you risked getting yourself hurt to track her down?"
"No!" She sighed turning to him. "I wanted to bring her back. Harold isn't good for her— well— wasn't. He was using her just for her power— I was bringing her back to be in a better environment— a much more loving environment— that was until your brother decided to go Yellow Wallpaper on Vanya-"
"Yellow Wallpaper?"
"Would it kill you to pick up a book?" She shrugged as he sighed.
"Sorry- hadn't had time with the apocalypse going around." He stopped. "You said something about Vanya becoming the apocalypse— do you really think that is true?"
"Of course I do!" Hex sighed, "she doesn't understand her powers as we do."
Klaus put his hand on Hex's cheek and side smiled. She rolled her eyes at him.
"What's on your mind?"
"How you're so caring," he said softly.
"You're one to talk," she laughed, "you tried to help get her out as well."
He sighed softly rubbing circles on her cheek.
"I had a good influence," he said smiling softly. He inches closer to her as she could feel the heat of his breath. The house shook as Hex sat up.
"Shit," she hissed.
"What would that be?" He said as there was a loud bang that shook the house more.
Hex grabbed Klaus's hand and pulled him to the hallway.
"Yo, what the hell is going on?" Diego said walking down the hallway.
