Freya's POV

I look around scared as Merry, Pippin and I carried by the uruk-hai. Pippin looks fine, but Merry has a cut on his head. "Merry!" Pippin and I shout. Suddenly a group of Orcs appear and we go quiet.

"You're late. Our master grows impatient. He wants the Shire-rats now" an orc tells the uruk-hai holding me.

"I don't take orders from Orc-maggots. Saruman will have his prize. We will deliver them" he tells him. The ring, they think we have the ring.

"My friend is sick! He needs water. Please!" Pippin shouts.

"Sick is he? Give him some medicine, boys" orders the one holding me. Uruks growl, then one pours a sticky red liquid into Merry's mouth. Merry started to choke.

"Stop it! Leave him alone!" I shout.

"Why? You want some? Huh?" he asks me. I remain silent shaking my head. "Then keep your mouth shut pretty" he tells me. I listen to Merry assuring Pippin he was fine. The uruk-hai continue their journey with the orcs now in tow.

It was mid afternoon when they stop sniffing the air. "What is it? What do you smell?" the one holding me asks.

"Man flesh" the one sniffing answers.

"Aragorn" I hear Pippin whisper and see him drop something shiny on the ground. As the uruk-hai continue on going a little faster then before. It wasn't until night fall that they stopped.

"We ain't goin' no further 'till we've had a breather" one the uruk-hai shouts. Merry, Pippin and I are put down. Pippin and I crawl over to Merry.

"Let me see that head" I tell him and he allows me to look at it. "Not to deep, but it needs to be cleaned" I state.

"I think we might have made a mistake, leaving the Shire Freya, Pippin" he tells us.

"We'll go home soon" I assure him. One of the uruk-hai orders the orcs to get a fire going. As the orcs chop at the trees, low groans and rumbles come from the forest.

"What's making that noise?" Pippin asks us.

"The trees" I state. "You remember the Old Forest? On the borders of Buckland? Folks used to say that there was something in the water that made the trees grow tall, and come alive" I tell him.

"Alive?" he asks surprised.

"Trees that could whisper, talk to each other. Even move" Merry states.

"I'm starving. We ain't had nothing but maggoty bread for three stinking days!" one of the uruk's shout. I gulp moving closer go Merry and Pippin.

"Yeah! Why can't we have some meat?" an orc asks. He then eyes Merry, Pippin and I. "What about them? They're fresh!" he states.

"They are not for eating" an uruk tells him.

"What about their legs? They don't need those. Ooh! They look tasty" the same orc states. He goes to approach us and the uruk pushes him back.

"Get back, scum! The prisoners go to Saruman. Alive and unspoiled" the uruk orders.

"Alive? Why alive? Do they give good sport? Is the girl pure?" the orc asks. I gulp holding onto Merry's sleeve.

"They have something. An Elvish weapon. The master wants it for the war" the uruk tells him.

"They think we have the ring" Pippin whispers.

"Shhh! As soon as they find out we don't, we're dead" Merry tells him. You to might me, I fear my fate would be way worse if they discovered the truth. The Orc tried to bite Pippin and is beheaded.

"Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!" the uruk shouts. I look away as they jump on the dead orc. That's just sickening.

"Pippin, Freya lets go" Merry tells us. We start to crawl away and are captured by an orc.

"Go on, call for help. Squeal! No one's gonna save you now" he tells us. A spear impales him. We use his discarded knife to cut the ropes tying our wrists together. Merry and I run to the forest. But turn back when we realize Pippin isn't beside us.

"Pippin!" I shout as he narrowly avoid horses hooves. He grabbed the knife and ran over to us. I take the knife from him. "Go, run don't look back" I tell them and we take off running deep into the forest.
