Freya's POV

I examine my reflection admiring the green dress Theoden's niece Eowyn has given me. It feels nice to be wearing a dress again. Suddenly there is a knock at the door. "Come in" I say as I put my shoes on and Gimli enters the room. He goes to say something, but freezes when he sees me. "What do you think?" I ask giving him a small twirl.

"You look lovely" he tells me and I blush. "I have come to escort you to the bouquet hall" he states. I nod my head and accept his out stretched arm. He leads me out of the room.

"Rohan is beautiful, though I wish my brother could be here to see it" I tell him.

"I'm sure Frodo is fine, he has Sam after all" he assures me and I smile.

"Thank you Gimli, but apart of me will always worry until I see him again" I state touching the necklace Galadriel has given me.

"You still not work out the second power?" he asks me.

"Maybe, I'm not sure yet thought" I tell him. "I feel things from it, whenever I worry for Frodo. It seems to give me an idea of how he's doing. The ring's hold on my him grows stronger, I fear he will loose to it. But we can't give up hope, as long as Sam stands beside him. There is hope" I state.

"Aye there is" he agrees. "Listen Freya, can we talk later?" he asks me.

"Of course" I tell him smiling. He smiles back and we enter the hall. We go stand beside Legolas, Eomer and a few other men standing by barrels of ale.

"Tonight we remember those who gave their blood to defend this country. Hail the victorious dead" Theoden says and takes a drink of his ale. The men say 'hail' and do the same with their mugs of ale.

Just then Eomer hands Gimli and Legolas a mug each. "No pauses, no spills" he tells them.

"And no regurgitation" Gimli adds.

"So it's a drinking game?" Legolas asks as he looks into his mug.

"Aye, last one standing wins" Gimli states.

"What'll we drink to? Let's drink to victory! To victory!" a soldier declares. Legolas takes a small sip from his drink. Gimli chugs his drink. I sigh, I guess I won't be talking to Gimli tonight after all.

"Here, here. It's the dwarves that go swimming with little hairy women" Gimli slurs and I wrinkle my nose in disgust.

"I feel something. A slight tingling in my fingers. I think it's affecting me" Legolas states. Looking at his fingers in worry.

"What did I say? He cant hold his liquor" Gimli states. Then he passes out and I tell Eomer to ensure he is returned to the fellowship's room safely. As Legolas says 'game over'. I then go over to Gandalf as Merry and Pippin start to dance on a table together.

"Oh, you can search far and wide
You can drink the whole town dry
But you'll never find a beer so brown
As the one we drink in our home town.
You can keep your fancy ales.
You can drink em by the flagon
But the only brew for the brave and true..." Pippin stops singing looking at Gandalf.

"Pippin!" Merry calls and Pippin returns to the song.

"But the only brew for the brave and true
Comes from the Green Dragon" they finish. Then chug their drinks and Pippin finishes first. "I win!" he shouts.

"Any news of Frodo?" I ask Gandalf hopefully.

"No word, nothing" he tells me.

"We have time. Every day Frodo moves closer to Mordor" I tell him.

"Do we know that?" he asks looking down at me.

"What does your heart tell you?" I ask him.

"That Frodo is alive. Yes. Yes, he is alive" he states. I smile up at him.

"Mine tells me he is alive too" I tell him placing a hand on the necklace Galadriel had given.

"That is a rear necklace, if a voice calls for you. Don't ignore it, follow your heart" he tells me. I nod my head. Merry and Pippin then pull me onto the table for a dance. I laugh as we start to dance singing another song together. The night was fun, though I would of liked to know what Gimli wanted to talk about.

After the party I lead Merry and Pippin back to our room. As it's way past their bedtime and they're both drunk. I got them to lay down and lay down in between them. Covering the three of us in a blanket. We all soon fall asleep.
