(Rescue Party) Gimli's POV
We'd reached Rohan and meet their riders. Who told us they'd slayed the orc party we're tracking during the night. That they left none alive and saw no hobbits. Or Freya. I pray the lass is ok, I've grown really fond of her and have not yet told her. The riders gave us two horses and I rode behind the elf.
Any we the burning carcasses. We all dismount and start to look around. I find one of the lads belts, charred. "It's one of the lads little belts" I tell the other two trying to remain strong. The elf bows his head and closes his eyes saying something in elvish. I'm to sadden to scold him. I'd lost the first lass I've ever cared about and I never got to tell her.
Aragorn kicks at an orc helmet. He yells as if physically injured as he falls to his knees. He then looks at something to his right. "A Hobbit lay here, and the other two" he tells the us. "They crawled" he states following the tracks and we follow him. He soon finds a piece of cut rope by an orc axe. "Their hands were bound, but the bonds were cut" he announces.
"Are they alive?" I ask him.
"They ran over here... and were followed" he states still following the tracks. He stops when he reaches the tree line. "The tracks lead away from the battle! Into... Fangorn Forest" he tells us.
"Fangorn! What madness drove her... I mean them in there?" I ask him.
(Fangorn Forest) Freya's POV
We're still running from the orc chasing us. Soon we collapse onto the ground, panting by a tall tree. "Did we lose him?" I ask them.
"I think we lost him" Pippin states. But then we hear the orcs voice.
"I'm gonna rip off your filthy little heads! Then take the girl for myself! Come here!" he shouts. I gulp in fear.
"Tree, climb a tree" Merry tells us. They climb the tall tree and I climb the one next to it. "He's gone" Merry declares and I sigh in relief. When I'm suddenly grabbed by the ankle and pulled to the ground.
"Ahh" I scream and look up to see the orc. He leans over me smirking and I try to kick him away. I hear my cousins shouting my name. I then hear them shout as a tree moved. A trunk stomped onto my the orc killing it. I sigh in relief.
"Run Freya!" Pippin shouts to me. I look up to see a tree holding Merry and Pippin in one hand. I squeak as it grabs me in the other.
"Little orcs! Búrarum" the tree says as her starts to walk.
"It's talking Freya, Merry. The tree is talking" Pippin states.
"Tree! I am no tree! I am an Ent" he tells us annoyed.
"Really? That's amazing" I say in awe. I'd always wanted to meet an ent.
"Treeherder! A shepherd of the forest" Merry adds. Pippin tells us not to talk to the ent.
"Treebeard some call me" the ent tells us.
"What side are you on?" Pippin asks him.
"Side? I am on nobody's side. Because nobody is on my side, little orc" Treebeard tells us.
"We aren't orcs, have you ever seen a female orc?" I ask him.
"We are not orcs. We are Hobbits!" Merry shouts.
"Hobbits? Never heard of a Hobbit before, then again. I have never heard of a female orc either. Sounds like orc mischief to me" he tells us. He places me on his shoulder before putting Merry and Pippin in either hand. "They come with fire, they come with axes. Biting, breaking, hacking, burning. Destroyers and usurpers. Curse them!" he explains.
