I held Sam's hand as we walked behind Ej into the Diagnostic Center.

Ej held the door open for us and we walked in. In the corner of my eyes I could see Claudia sitting there with someone but I didn't look.

Me and Sam walked up to the desk.

"I have an appointment, Brash." He said taking out his wallet.

I let go of his hand and me and Ej walked over to the waiting area. I wasn't getting close to her, but I had no choice but to sit in the same space as her.

"Momma," I looked over at Ej. "Is that him?"

I broke my attention from Ej and slowly turned my head to his direction. He looked like Eric from his nose down. His eyes were a pretty green, he must've got that from his mothers side.

"Sam, how long do we have to be here? He has a game in an hour."

I tore my vision away from the boy and glanced at Claudia who sat impatient.

"If you weren't such a hoe and a liar we wouldn't be here." Ej mumbled.

I nudged him.

"Claudia Shut the fuck up, okay? We just got here." Sam said coming back over to us. He sat next to me and grabbed my hand.

She rolled her eyes and turned the other way.

I know this bitch didn't think she was better than me. She had a child by MY late husband and she's in here acting like she's superior. Bitches like that made me sick.

My attention went back to the boy. He glanced up at me and I kept my eyes locked on him.

"I know you." He said. He took his earbuds out and leaned over to me. "You're- you're Elle and Samari's Mom."

I nodded. "And Tyson's."

I nodded again.

"How do you know her kids Angelo?" Claudia stuck her head in front of him, blocking my view of him.

"I- well, nothing. We go to school together." He said lowly.

Ej leaned closer to see him. "Nigga you the mufucka that's been trynna talk to my lil sister!"

"What?" Sam snapped his neck towards Angelo. "How you know Ej?"

"Jason told me yesterday that some lil nigga named Angelo was trynna spit game to Elle." Ej mugged him.

"Eric, enough." I grabbed his wrist.

"You were trying to talk to her?" Claudia asked him.

He nodded. "Not anymore, she could be my sister."

"They are your sisters!" She smacked her forehead.

"Well mom how was I supposed to know? I didn't even know they existed."

I sighed and held my forehead. This was definitely some shit you read on Wattpad.

"Brash?" We looked up seeing a nurse come out.

Sam stood up. "That's me," he tapped Ej and he stood up.

"I'll be back okay?" He leaned down and kissed my lips.

I nodded.

I watched as Claudia and Angelo stood up and followed behind Ej and Sam.

Instead of dragging Gloria around to find out the truth, I brought Ej. Ej is a product of Eric ; he can get tested as a relative.
